December 5th, 2010
4228 Stone Way N
Noon to 5pm

I went to the space today to set up (organization, I can haz it! Sometimes!), and let me tell you, [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps has FOUR giant bags of stuff that I saw. If you are anywhere near the Seattle area, you don't want to miss this.

My exciting adventures for today involved going Leaving The House for brunch, and then the aforementioned sale set-up. That pretty much used up my energy, so I am now going to spend the rest of the day writing, sewing, and watching more of the 1st season of the Matt Smith run of Dr. Who. (We're currently watching "Flesh And Stone" - don't spoil me for the rest of the run!)
Sunday, December 5th!

SeaGoth Swap Meet
December 5th, 2010
4228 Stone Way N
Noon to 5pm

Quoth [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps: "There will be ample space for any one who wants to sell to have a card or folding table and a garment rack. This is 1021 square feet of hardwood with a full bathroom, kitchen and room for people to try on items (there will also be a full length mirror). Coffee/tea and cookies will be provided." If you are interested in selling stuff, contact [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps.

Yes, I will be selling MORE STUFF. The wardrobe culling continues! I may even put together more Bags Of Mystery! to tempt people with.

There is going to be a wide range of things in all styles and sizes. I know Alexia is clearing out a lot of housewares, Coach bags, CorpGoth stuff, club clothes, and J.Peterman items. I am going to have clothes, fabric, shoes, and purses.

There will be more posts about this. Trust me, many, many reminders will be happening.
THIS SUNDAY

The Great Goth Yard Sale, vol. II:
Sunday, September 26
Noon-4 p.m. (no early birds; you show up early, you get put to work on setup)
22nd Ave & E Columbia St, in the Central District

I personally will have clothes, hats, fabric & trim, BPAL, makeup, and some shoes. The other people selling at this will also have fabulous things. You DO NOT want to miss this. YES, this will be happening even in case of drizzle & light rain. So sayeth [livejournal.com profile] icprncs

You know what I haven't subjected you people to? My INCOHERENT CAPSLOCK FLAILY GLEE at the new MCR single that premiered yesterday. But I will show some restraint, because certain people are starting to be concerned that fandom has finally unhinged me. So let's just say that I really like it, and am giddy that the album is being released the Tuesday after my birthday. ("SHUT UP AND LET ME SEE YOUR JAZZ HANDS", hee! I may never stop giggling.)

---

One of my writers brought me pink Gerber daisies and chocolate today, as a thank you for dealing with some last-minute project hijinks. Awww!

---

Gnnng. There is a seller on ebay that has a pair of limited edition pink Fluevog Lover boots (clicky-link! not to the auction, but to a photo) for sale. But I am not in the market to spend $300 on boots. I'm not. I will keep repeating that to myself. (Even if they're really cute, and I could easily dye the contrast trim black.) No. I am closing that tab now. I really am.
I just got done putting together and sealing up the Crafty Surprise Bags that I'm going to be selling at the Steampunk Swapmeet this Saturday. Each bag has a random selection of Nifty Things! Antique-looking sunglasses! Vintage ribbons or lace! Jewelry-making goodies! Vintage (or vintage-looking) jewelry!

The thing is, I can't decide what to charge for them. Other than more than $1, I mean. So I turn to you, peoples of the internets!

[Poll #1619282]
The Seattle Steampunk Swapmeet:
September 18th, noon to 6PM.
All Pilgrims Christian Church
500 Broadway East (lower level)

The Great Goth Yard Sale, vol. II:
Sunday, September 26
Noon-4 p.m. (no early birds; you show up early, you get put to work on setup)
22nd Ave & E Columbia St, in the Central District

Yes, I'm going to be at both. Clothes, makeup, jewelry, BPAL, surprise bags of crafting supplies - trust me, you want to show up to at least one of these.

(The makeup, jewelry, and BPAL will probably NOT be at the Steampunk Swapmeet, but WILL be at the Great Goth Yard Sale.)

(You know what this means? This means I am doing even MORE culling of the closets over the next week or so. I will be stricter with myself about culling!)
Thank you to everyone who took part! I will be letting people know their totals over this weekend.

Also, hey, there are still 12 items left! Including 3 different stripy blazers! http://cupcake-goth.livejournal.com/621775.html

Now for the double and triple -checking of lists. Oh, the cross-referencing!

The details!

PayPal ONLY. All prices are BEFORE shipping.

The info about shipping: After staring at the USPS site long enough to be driven mad, I'm going to go with using the flat-rate Priority mail boxes. Which means shipping will be between $9.85 and $13.50 for US addresses, depending on how many items you're getting.

I will ship outside of the US. Shipping fees will be figured out on a case-by-case basis.

If there is something you want, leave a comment that includes the item number(s) and your zip code. First come, first served!

With the exception of one item that I'm waiting to hear back from someone about, EVERYTHING sold except this lonely overskirt:

Draped overskirt. Black satin w/ black velvet stripes. Closes w/ a hook and eye at the waist. 34” waist. $30

Pictures here! )

Thank you VERY much, everyone! You have helped fund my Fluevog addiction. ;)

The reason I could not respond to people's comments right away? The Stroppy One surprised me with a trip to the zoo, so I could say goodbye to the bats. This is the last weekend the Nocturnal House will be open.

Blouses! )
(I meant to put this in the previous post, and completely forgot.)

I will be posting the most recent batch of goodies culled from my closets (Skirts! Military jackets! Blouses!) to LJ tomorrow, around noon P.S.T. Please check it out!
It was lovely to see folks at Mourning Market! Thank you to everyone who came by and said hi, and an extra-big thank you to folks who purchased goodies. ::grin::

Coming soon to this LJ: three pairs of "Cranky" bloomers for sale. (So those of you who were sad you weren't, oh, in Seattle, you still have a chance at them!)

I did indeed end up purchasing a(nother) hat from [livejournal.com profile] noxenlux Curse you, Carlee! But it will be a good "everyday wear" hat for me, so it's totally justifiable. Really. (Plus I had saved up for it.)

Tonight is low-key flopping on the couch, I think. Next week, writing up the proposal for the second Gothic Charm School book to send to my Agent of Awesome.
I'm busy with Stuff, so don't have time at the moment for a long post. Therefore, this is a reminder!

This Sunday! February 7th, from 12-6PM! I'm vending at the Mourning Market!. Books, art prints, a few pairs of "cranky" bloomers (you know you want them!), and cute stripy heart pins. Come visit me and the other vendors!

---

March 27th is the Annual Vampire Ball! You know, the event I look forward to every year, full of fun people in pretty pretty clothing, amazing performers, and a very tempting vendor room. You (all of you) really want to make a trip to Portland for this, trust me.
Okay folks, this is your advance warning. Tomorrow, the giant Closet Culling Sale Post goes live. Lip Service! Fluffy skirts! Military-style jackets! Shoes! An antique collapsible top hat! Men's shirts and a suit!

(And now we take a short breather from the exclamation points.)

All proceeds will go to my paying off my Fluevog Babycake boots. And, erm, my Dr. Marten Skelly boots, because when Amazon emails me and says "omg only one pair left in your size! here, have an extra extra discount!", I listen. If, by some lucky chance, I have extra money, I'm taking myself to the spaaaaa. Soaking in warm tubs all day, with occasional breaks for snacky food and body scrubs, mmmm.

The job hunt is still going. I'm playing the waiting game with three different possibilities. Which, on the one hand, yay! On the other hand, I am not good at waiting, and I'd like at lest ONE of them to become something more than a nebulous potential thing.
- All that stuff that pictured in the last post is stuff I am going to be selling. Most of what I have is sizes 12-16.

- I haven't even started going through the shoes & boots yet, and there will be sizes ranging from 8 - 9. Be afraid.

- I also haven't started going through the Storage Room O' Doom upstairs yet. *I'm* a little afraid of that.

- People have made some very enticing comments about the possibility of trades or bartering for clothes. Normally I would be ALL FOR that, because I love clothing swaps. But part of the reason I'm doing this sale is because I need money to pay off the Fluevogs I finally broke down and purchased last week. Yeah, I know. But ... Fluevogs!

One of my goals for this week is to go over to [livejournal.com profile] theda's place and finally bring home the dress form that's been waiting for me. Which means I'll be able to take better photos of the clothing I have for sale than in the past, yay! And I promise that I will use the real camera to take the sale photos, not the one on the iPhone.

---

Today was NOT a good day for writing. Stupid, stupid PMS. Bah.
Now that I'm done traveling for a while (as far as I know), I'm culling the closets. Yes, that includes shoes and boots. Because I am going to purchase myself those Fluevog Babycake boots. I've been coveting them for too damn long, and I don't want to run the risk of them being discontinued.

---

When I'm a little more awake and coherent, I'll burble about Innocente Seraphim. The short version: Wheeee! That was a lot of fun, and I'm planning on going back next year.

Giiiiaaaant Sale Post O' Doom! Doomy Doom, even!

The basics: Prices do not include shipping. If you want something, leave a comment that states whether you would want Priority Mail or regular mail, and what your zip code is. Oh, and I like PayPal.

Shoes! )

Two box purses! )

Blazers and waistcoats. And a Lip Service jacket. )
The Punk Rock Flea Market!

[livejournal.com profile] domestinatrix and myself will be there, selling ... stuff. Snacky food, clothes, shoes, charming toy monsters, books ... did I mention the snacky food? And the clothes?

For sale! A copy of the 1995 Vertigo Tarot deck in almost mint condition. "Almost", because there is a small puncture in the front of the big white presentation box, which is from a bat-festooned candelabra falling on it during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.

(Yes, I'm serious. Vertigo tarot deck. Bat-festooned candelabra. Earthquake. Look, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.)

The cards and book have never been taken out of the presentation box. $120 + shipping. Leave a comment if you're interested.
