4228 Stone Way N
Noon to 5pm

I went to the space today to set up (organization, I can haz it! Sometimes!), and let me tell you, [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps has FOUR giant bags of stuff that I saw. If you are anywhere near the Seattle area, you don't want to miss this.

My exciting adventures for today involved going Leaving The House for brunch, and then the aforementioned sale set-up. That pretty much used up my energy, so I am now going to spend the rest of the day writing, sewing, and watching more of the 1st season of the Matt Smith run of Dr. Who. (We're currently watching "Flesh And Stone" - don't spoil me for the rest of the run!)

Good luck on the rummage sale. My plans to go there has been thwarted by spending the day trying to fix my car. BLAH!

Alas, if only it were next month so I could go!

Matt Smith is pretty precious as the Doctor. I kind of want to be Amy Pond when I grow up. And series five of Who is just amazing, amazing, amazing. I knew you were cool, but damn.

When I first saw photos of Matt Smith, my reaction was "He can't be the Doctor! He looks like he should be part of some baby punk band that Pete Wentz is going to sign!" But he's grown on me, and I find myself *really* liking his version of the Doctor.

I was pretty skeptical of his Doctor until I saw an interview he gave to "Doctor Who Confidential," and he did this weird wiggly finger motion that was so odd that I thought, "I'll give this kid a chance." And then the first episode happened, and I was convinced. I think it fits well that his Doctor is much more of a grumpy old man than the previous two--Christopher Eccleston really played up the alien element, and David Tennant played the Doctor as being over-the-top wacky to cover up some serious emotional trauma. Smith's Doctor is a nice progression from those two, I think.

I spent all of season five loving Amy Pond and missing David Tennant desperately. But now that I'm re-watching the season again, I find myself appreciating his version of the Doctor much more.

Amy Pond still rocks though.

Dr Who and Auxiliary Magazine

Everybody seems to be watching Dr. Who. I had better get going. Luckily, my Netflix came in this weekend with it.

Here is the link to the magazine I mentioned at the swap meet/rummage sale. You can view it online, download the PDF, or buy a print copy.
