The #lipstickadaymay thing is happening, even if my participation is a little sporadic.

PIIIIINNNK! MAC "Trimming Talk", which Thea gave me ages ago.

... my lips aren't burgundy or black, and that confuses me. But I think I like it? I think I need a slightly deeper, bluer-toned pink, but it may end up being a color I wear again.
Today I had enough energy to put on makeup!

(Look, I like playing with makeup. Going for nearly two weeks without playing with makeup was making me cranky and twitchy.)

Thanks to a whim to play with my Lip Tar colors, I have discovered that I look ... odd with bright pinky-fuchsia lipstick. Now I know. Also, this may be a sign that cabin fever is setting in.

I am hoping that the next step in my recovery is that my brain comes back enough for me to work on my writing projects. I keep opening up notebooks or documents, staring at them, and then going "Nope. Words Gone." Vexing, very vexing.
I am working at home again today, because the extremely cold dry weather we've been having has made my sinuses unhappy enough that they've gifted me with a sinus migraine. I would like to return their gift, but they didn't include a gift receipt.

Since I'm at home, I put some more pink dye on my hair, and am sitting in front of the computers with a vintage bonnet hair dryer. The hot air on my head is very soothing.

Seattle folks, remember! The second Mourning Market is happening this Sunday! I'm really looking forward to it; now I just need to finalize how I'm getting there. (The Stroppy One is on a very tight deadline, woe.)

---

Look at the pretty charm bracelets (Clicky-link!) that [livejournal.com profile] girlghoul makes! I have one that has b&w striped beads and pink crystals, and I love it to bits. She also makes earrings and other goodies, and they're all very pretty.

---

Okay, time to take more Advil Cold & Sinus, and await the return of the Stroppy One from the coffee-fetching errand. And take a look at this list of proposed documents that a writer has given me, hmmm...
A sure sign I have been without an office job for a while: my body clock has reasserted its natural setting, and I am incapable of falling asleep before 2:30 - 3:00AM, and being woken up at 11:30AM seems perfectly reasonable. The only problem with this is that my darling husband, The Stroppy One, likes daylight, and would be happiest getting up at something like 9:00AM. ::shudders delicately::

But! While I was awake and tootling around the internets at two in the morning, I learned about micro ring loop hair extensions! Human hair extensions that you attach to your head in a process that's kind of like latch-hooking in miniature! And why look, eBay has them in pink! (Clicky-link!) I am going to think about this a bit more (and find out which of my local friends I could sweet-talk into helping me add the extensions to the back of my head), but I think this is the best way for me to add pink to my hair without doing any (more) damage to it.

Is there a quick way I could figure out if a particular blush is safe to use on my eyes?

(What? Stop looking at me like that.)

I realized last night, after rummaging around in the makeup boxes, that I have a very good pink shade via a MAC blush I own ("Dollymix", if you're curious). I just don't know if it's one of the colors that is safe to use as eye shadow. Oh, and I don't have the ingredient list anymore, but that could probably be found online.

In Other News, writing mid-year career discussions? Still tedious and maddening, go figure.
Goddammit. I have found a very cute knock-off of my much-coveted pink furry purse ... and, I don't have wiggle room in the spending money budget. As in, I am already in the red for next week's spending money as it is.

Dear Dread Spirits of Ebay,

I have been a faithful acolyte of yours for years and years. Please do not let anyone else snap up the pink furry purse before I have sold clothing and have the spare $50 to click the shiny Buy It Now button. Pretty please?

With much love and coveting,

Princess MoonBeam

(Yeah yeah, I know. Shallow, petty, entirely First-World problem. Still very vexing.)
WARNING: This post contains clicky links to things that will cause [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage and [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps to roll their eyes so hard there is a danger of them never being able to see properly again.

I still want a cupcake pink faux fur "fox" stole from Coquette Faux Furriers. (Not the hot pink shown in the photo, obviously.) A pink fuzzy scarf! With a little face! I could make it talk to people and amuse myself for hours!

OOooh, a cupcake pink faux fur handbag! I don't care about the brand name (because I am not a label snob when it comes to handbags and purses), but I haven't seen anyone other than My Flat In London making vintage-style frame handbags in cupcake pink faux fur. Am I willing to pay $99 plus shipping for it? I dunno. I've coveted it for almost two years now. So darling!

(Nordstrom had it, but now says it's not in stock.)

(And while not fuzzy, this pink & black handbag from them is cute too.)

Soon there will be a post about getting to meet [livejournal.com profile] lord_whimsy on Saturday night (he is *just* as charming as his book), and maybe some burbling about holiday things. But right now? I'm distracting myself from the looming deadline by looking at pink faux fur accessories. I wants them aaaaall!
