When real things happen to imaginary people

So, I'm on the front page of CNN Living ...

Kat Kinsman and Sarah LeTrent interviewed me about workplace dress codes. (The article was prompted by Bobak Ferdowsi's Mohawk.) Not only do they quote me pretty extensively, they used Goth at the Office photos to open the article!

I'm in the LJ Spotlight, eeeee! This is very exciting! They very kindly linked to the Gothic Charm School website in the blurb (thank you, LJ people!); if you take a look at my profile, there is a link to the Amazon.com page for the Gothic Charm School book.

So, here, have some pictures! The first one is the Chibi!Jilli sketch I purchased at Innocente Seraphim over the weekend. I LOVE chibi-style art, and have always wanted a chibi-style cartoon of myself. The second illustration is, yes indeed, one of the Lady of the Manners from Gothic Charm School. Two completely different styles, but both showing my cartoon-like nature. (Yes, people who have known me for ages, I've just accepted that you're right, I am a cartoon. Which means I eventually get my own theme park, right?)

Thanks to domestinatrix and Keenan (quick, someone, give me Keenan's LJ name, 'cos I need to add him anyway!), I ... I signed someone's chest last night.

It says "Stay Spooky!" and my name. And YES, we made stroppy_baggage sign Keenan's chest, too.

I signed someone's chest! This totally makes me a rock star, right?

OH MY GOODNESS YOU PEOPLES! TODAY! BOOK RELEASE TODAY!

Unsurprisingly, I am rather giddy. (Please notice the deliberate understatement in that sentence. To be honest, I suspect that any minute now I'm going to put on MCR's cover of "Astro Zombies" and dance around the house with clovisdvlbunny.)
