The book release party was FANTASTIC. I ... seriously, I'm still a bit overwhelmed and touched at how many of you showed up to cheer me on (and occasionally ask odd questions). Thank you so much! And the presents! You guys! Flowers and cupcakes and Sepiachord goodies and CDs and body butter!

I feel so incredibly lucky. Thank you, all of you.

You were wonderful! You will do great on this book tour. By the way - I heard that your book SOLD OUT at the B&N tonight!!

I didn't stay for the book signing because I figured I could get that done at another time. :D

We almost sold out. There were 3 copies they kept for store signed copies, leaving 2 lonely copies to hold the fort at the display near the escalator.

You were fantastic, sugar. I am glad the kick off was *here* and we could all come and be your first audience.

I am hoping that every other city has even more of a turn out.

Did Mom and Dad stay and give you the cd already?

I ended up going down the line for signing and giving hugs to folks. It was a serious Old Home night. There were a couple of people there that it's been over a DECADE since I last saw them.

Yup, parents hung out with us as we packed up and Jilli got the CD.

Yay! I'm so glad it went well, and I'm sorry I wasn't there for it.

My book was waiting for me at my front door when I arrived home! I haven't read all of it yet, but it looks wonderful, and please tell Pete I think his illustrations are wonderful!

Thank you. It was a challenge to simplify my normal over-detailed style.

Oh, you! I'm so thrilled for you! I wish I could have been there!

hey, nice user icon!

It was a wonderful reading! The people-watching was divine and the reading itself was fabulous and the art was wonderful, and even the Barnes & Noble MC had a hint of snark in her presentation.

I only wish I'd worn MY black and pink socks so I could have raised my hand and made a proclamation! ;)

Curses!

::kicks broken TARDIS::

Alas, I wish I'd been able to attend, but I'm chuffed to bits that it all went so well - you SO deserve it, sweetheart!

I spent the journey to Tokyo reading the book, and loved the hell out of it. And I'm pimping it to my co-workers and friends here in Bangkok.

Have a wonderful tour, love!

We're limited to those locations that responded when HarperCollins started looking into the book tour. The other tricky part is that authors have to pay for their own travel and we've pretty much blown our budget with the West Coast and NYC.

On the plus side, if you can make it up to NYC on the weekend of July 18th, we are having a Gothic Charm School tea party.

I came to see your moment, and I am totally in awe of you.

These are for personal enjoyment only. I catch on anyone using them for other purposes, and I will get VERY grumpy.

It was such a blast, it was wonderful seeing everybody there!

It was a great party. I have no idea why you were nervous, because you were really fantastic up there. B&N couldn't have asked for a better event. Go you!

It really was lovely!

I didn't mind waiting in line for so long either because I got to say hi to friends I haven't seen in years (well, seen in person)! The whole evening was made of awesome.

Also, if anyone out there still had any doubts, there's now proof you're not a vampire. I don't think vampires blush. :)

Congrats again and have fun on the book tour!!! :D

Nathan and I had a blast. Thank you. You were spectacular.
And we both went home and read about half the book!

I hope you like the cupcake..

Please try out the body butter, it's got everything in it along with the scent. I hope we can get it out for people to have ASAP :D

Knee deep in pride prep or we would have attended.
BUT my pre-ordered copy arrived in the mail today from Amazon!

Congratulations:)

I wish I could've been there... I won't be in Seattle until this weekend for Pride.

There was no doubt in my mind it would do as well as it did! I'll be ordering it after I get back, or buying one when there if I can get my hands on a copy (preferably a signed one)...

*Hint-hint, Nudge-nudge*

Congrats!!!

One of my coworkers on The Ring is reading your book. He's not a goth but can't stop talking about your book.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Really? Oh, fantastic! If you get a chance, could you ask him where he heard about it?
