Dear LJ Hivemind, you seem to be my best resource for finding new music. Sooooo, if I were looking for more creepy/atmospheric/eccentric circus-y type bands, who would you recommend?

What the heck do I mean by the above vague description? Stuff like Rasputina, Jill Tracy, Circus Contraption, Power Circus, Toy-Box Trio, and Ego Plum. Does it sound like strange antique music boxes, a bunch of creepy porcelain dolls come to life, or like it would play on the carousel or calliope from Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show? Great! That's what I'm looking for.
Help help! I need someone in the UK to place an eBay bid for me and then ship an item if the bid wins! An item that closes in approximately 21 hours, too.

If you're a UK peep willing to do this favor for me, please leave me a comment!

Would one of you lovely UK-based folks be willing to bid on an eBay auction for me, and then if you win, ship it to me in the USA? I will pay all costs, naturally.

Remember the Miss Selfridge pink candystripe velour/velveteen blazer I've long been searching for?
Picture of it behind the cut! )

Guess what is up on eBay UK, finally in my size?! The only problem is the seller is only willing to ship within the UK. Woe! Woe is the Cupcake Goth!

So, yes. If one of you wonderful peeps in the UK is willing to help me out with this, please leave me a comment. Thank you so much!
I don't suppose any of you have a pair of Fluevog Babycake boots (clicky-link!) in a size 8.5 that I could borrow for a day? I covet them greatly, but need to spend a couple of hours walking around in them to figure out if they'd make my feet hurt, thus rendering them unwearable to me.

(I also really like the Fluevog Mini-Lover boots (clicky-link!), but the Stroppy One does not.)

I know, I know, my unemployed self should NOT be looking at the Fluevog site. I know. But does anyone have a pair I can borrow? ::grin::

Hey, peoples who have the book? If you could go post a review on Amazon.com, that would be a Very Helpful Thing, and I would be very grateful. (A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] djeternadarkne who posted the first review!)

Hey, look at the new LJ icon [livejournal.com profile] staxxy made for me, from the photos that [livejournal.com profile] its_crabbapple took! (there's a clicky-link in there!)

EDITED TO ADD: Further proof for the I guess I am a cliché and/or a cartoon character theory: while deciding what I am packing for the book tour, I picked up a piece of jewelry and said "Oh right, I have to wash the stage blood of this."
([livejournal.com profile] donnaricci, if you see this, the images you sent me weren't high-enough res. If you have others, can you send them to me? I sent you an email today!)

I am in need of some high-res photos of typical gothy ladies and gents. Individuals, not a couple in the same photo. To be used on TV, so the high-res part is important. Help help?
Help help! I need full-body, preferably standing, photos of a typical gothy girl and gothy boy. (One of each.) They're for a TV interview. If you've got photos of yourself that you wouldn't mind letting me use, please let me know!

EDIT: Whoo, problem solved! Donna, thank you so much!

My darling Stunt Husband is going to be out of town this weekend, woe! Any of you Seattle-types want to be my companion and carpool to Club V on Saturday night? ::makes hypno-wheel motions at [livejournal.com profile] weaselmom::
Could I talk one of you into going to the BPAL this coming Friday night (they're open from 7PM to 10PM.) You see, they have Beaver Moon 2007 available at the store for that night only, and I really do need more.

http://community.livejournal.com/bpal_excathedra/50435.html

I would be able to email them and pre-order and pay for the bottles I want, I just need someone local to go pick them up and mail them to me.

Help help, anyone?
