Mom says "Thank you!" for all the birthday wishes. Dad is vastly amused that all of you think we're adorable. (*I* think we're adorable, too, but I also think we're crazy.) (The Stroppy One agrees with the latter part of that statement.)

I'm working from home today, thanks to insomnia. Ugh.

---

Someone remind me that I don't wear long charm-style necklaces, so I should stop looking at this Alice In Wonderland -themed one. (clicky-link!) But goodness, it's cute. I know how it's made, so I just need to find out what glossy medium is used over photo paper to make the lacquered insets for the pendants. (It's not ModgePodge, I know that much.) Oooh, then I could make my own GCS swirly-bat jewelry ...

---

Right. More tea, and back to editing.
Either that, or [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny has perfected his mind control powers. Because I can think of no other reason why I kind of covet this bunny-ear hood. (clicky-link!)

I mean, it's adorable. I KNOW it is ridiculous and silly and good lord, should not be worn by a goth in her 40s. Yes, I KNOW. But it's so cute!

Obviously, feeling unwell has brought on the brain worms or something.
Quick, someone remind me that I don't really need any more pink faux-fur capelet/stole/shrug thingamies. Especially since the one I'm currently ogling over on Etsy (clicky-link!) is extremely similar to one I already have. (Mine has a pink satin bow and lining instead of black, and does not have stripes of two different styles of pink fur. Otherwise, same shape and everything.)

... Goodness, that's cute. I don't really need it, but it's cute. (Actually, I need a capelet/stole/shrug thing in that exact shape in black faux-fur. Time to dink around with patterns, I suspect. Because I've got a bunch of black faux fur sitting in the storage room ...)

[kinda-sorta tangent]
Ooooh, I should do one of my seasonal handbag changes and start carrying the pink faux-fur handbag that [livejournal.com profile] haate gave me a few years ago!

But who knows? One of you non-local types may be able to help.

I'm looking for a particular style of ankh pendant. But first, let me set the Wayback machine ...

Back in the 90s, there was someone locally who made sterling silver replicas of the ankh from the movie The Hunger, complete with a little silver tube sheath that fitted over the (not at all sharp) blade. The last time I saw them for sale around here was at the Metro before they remodeled. So, what, 4 or 5 years ago? I haven't seen them since.

Yes, I already have one of these ankhs. But I lost the sheath to it long ago, and I'd like to get a second one. I have no idea where to find one.

Let me be clear: what I'm talking about is not the Alchemy Gothic Ankh of the Dead (clicky link!). The one I'm looking for is similar in style, but doesn't have hiroglyphics on it, and is a more streamlined, elegant design. Another clicky link; scroll down the page for the screencaps from the movie.)

Extensive Googling has resulted in ... nothing. Everyone has the Alchemy Gothic ankh, but I can't find any references to the one that I want. Yes, I know this is yet another cheese-tastic clichéd gothy trinket, but I really do want one with a sheath. Any help finding this particular pendant would be Greatly Appreciated.
