Either that, or [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny has perfected his mind control powers. Because I can think of no other reason why I kind of covet this bunny-ear hood. (clicky-link!)

I mean, it's adorable. I KNOW it is ridiculous and silly and good lord, should not be worn by a goth in her 40s. Yes, I KNOW. But it's so cute!

Obviously, feeling unwell has brought on the brain worms or something.

I cannot WAIT to read Peev's comment to your post. It's going to be like Christmas all over again. (Speaking of which, your prezzie is safe and sound...at my house.)

Weaselmom, clearly you need to get out more.

Yes, there was eye-rolling.

Anyway, even if it is a hoodie, this is a far superior product -

What? No snarking about furries or cosplay? You disappoint me! ::cries::

Well, I guess you have to give points to the fact that they come from *Goth*enburg, Sweden ;)

I . . . I kind of love it :D

And I think that the idea that one should change one's mode of self-expression as one ages (with minor concessions to be made in terms of *flattering* styles) is a bunch of hooey. That is a scientific term, btw ;)

Oh, I absolutely agree with your scientific term. :-) It's just that I know that even *I* don't have enough whimsy to pull off wearing a bunny-eared hood.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

I know, I know! That's the main thing that quells my coveting of it. Furries, oh dear oh dear.

From: [identity profile] chrisrnps.livejournal.com

I'd go so far as to say you're MORE able to get away with things like fake-fur animal-ear hoods the older you get.

At some point, you can be 'that eccentric lady down the street'.

Just don't end up being 'that person' who waters her pots of plastic flowers in the front yard in her bathrobe every morning.

There's good-batty and then there's just batty.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

But I'm ALREADY "that eccentric lady down the street".

From: [identity profile] fabby.livejournal.com

OMG totally love it!!! Now I want it toooooo!

From: [identity profile] master-cobweb.livejournal.com

Aaaaw! My husband wants one of these. How cute! And now I want him to have one. If only they made black kitty ear ones for me...

Also, Clovis is extremely awesome. He reminds me of a plush vampire ducky I made for Easterween (a terrifyingly adorable cross between Easter and Halloween - it is a holiday my friend and I celebrate because of our mutual love of cute Easter things and horror).

Ooh! You'd match Pthalo in her Littlest Werewolf hat.

From: [identity profile] oldhalloween.livejournal.com

I wear hats with ears...in my 40s. Seriously, it just makes you that eccentric lady down the street...with bunny ears. :0 )

From: [identity profile] ms-tate.livejournal.com

Now I don't feel quite so bad. I was kind of coveting this very bunny-ear hood, too. I couldn't explain it and was going through the same rational you mention (adorable, ridiculous, silly, not in my almost 40's, etc).

I ultimately attributed it to the general unwellness I have been laboring under as well.

From: [identity profile] prettyshrub.livejournal.com

Would it help if you added some bats or skulls to it?

So I saw you reply to a post (with the hat!) on [livejournal.com profile] egl and I thought...that lady looks familiar...

You were in Bust a few months back, right?

First, I wanted to say (if that indeed was you): The picture + blurb has been very inspiring to me. I've started dressing in more fun stuff as a general rule. I had some loli-ish clothes sitting around and wasn't wearing them out much because I was afraid of getting comments etc., but I feel so good when I wear them, why should I care?! I finally got a dress from Japan, a Bodyline jsk with musical stuff and crowns on it, and I can't wait until the weather is good enough to wear it to work (I ride my bike everywhere, and right now it's too damp and dirty).

Secondly! I went to Convergence 13 too. I live in Portland, though; and since my goth-y friends moved to Mountain View, California (boo) I haven't been into any goth stuff hardly at all. I miss it, even if I was only ever a part-time visitor. Le sigh.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Yes, that was me in Bust in October! I'm delighted to hear that I've helped inspire you to dress in a more fun manner.

Oh, Convergence 13! That was so much fun. Do you live in Portland? If you do, I might be able to point you at some fun gothy stuff to do.

From: [identity profile] aprilstarchild.livejournal.com

I do live in Portland!

I love the club Embers on a Wednesday night, because they have a good mix of music for dancing and a pretty laid-back crowd, but I hate being so tired at work the next day.

But feel free to point me to more stuff. :^)

I've read some of your Gothic Charm School stuff, and I really like your attitude about things.

I almost bought a Totoro hat this weekend. It was only $13, but it was too big for my head and I would've had to figure out how to take it in or it would just blow off. Plus, I usually wear a bike helmet instead of a hat. Hmmm, make a Totoro bike helmet cover?

From: [identity profile] piratessan.livejournal.com

Hi! I would just like to mention that I am accepting reservations for the next bunny hood collection now ^__^
