Argh argh argh. I have no sense of balance, apparently. If I keep using the dratted Wii Fit, will my sense of balance improve? Who knows?! I certainly can tell that I rest my weight on my left foot when I twirl while dancing, that's for sure.

Now, to sit on the couch and feel uncoordinated.
But Dreamhost is having file server and network problems, and the GCS site has been down aaaaaalllll day. I am a bit miffed about this, but am hoping that everything will be fixed by tomorrow.

EDITED TO ADD: I swear I meant to include this in this post when I wrote it! Welcome and happy birthday to Thekla Lovely! Congratulations to Jen and Bryan!

I had a very social weekend. [livejournal.com profile] cass404 was visiting, which meant Running Amok with [livejournal.com profile] minim_calibre, dressing Cass up in gothy clothing and going to Club V, and general silliness, which included [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage and [livejournal.com profile] cass404 shooting things on the XBox.

Speaking tangentially of gaming platforms, [livejournal.com profile] tolkiencub is very kindly loaning me his Wii and Wii Fit for a bit, so I can figure out if I'd actually use one with any regularity. Thus far, I have determined that my sense of balance is dreadful. [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage hates the voice of the Wii Fit and the cutesy animation of the balance board, but says that watching me make cranky faces while trying to play a balance game makes up for it. Thanks, dear.

4 weeks until the Vampire Ball! Roll call! Who will I see there?
Speak to me of the Wii Fit, peoples. [livejournal.com profile] girlgoth demonstrated hers for me, and I admit, I am intrigued. I'd been idly thinking about finding out more about them for a while, and actually seeing one and how it works has made me even more curious.

Which leads me to the second part of the question. So, if I DID decide I wanted to get one, where would I find the best price on the whole thing: the Wii + the Wii Fit bundle?

*For those of you who are wondering why I am mildly amused to find myself asking about a Wii: I am NOT a video gamer. They just don't interest me. I will admit, I had fun singing along with Rock Band, but even that didn't fill me with the urge to play it lots and lots. So the fact that I am even contemplating getting a video game system for myself is possibly one of the modern signs of the apocalypse.
