The Bags Of Mystery! I'm putting together for this event are INSANE. Plus I culled my closet, so there's all sorts of interesting wearables!

Thank you to everyone who has helped with the Kickstarter for My Summer As A Goth! We're off to a great start. Expect to see a lot of posts from me about it, because I want this project to succeed and start filming next summer.
THIS WEEKEND, a new gothy shop opens on Capitol Hill. A new grown-up gothy shop! Carrying wares from local artisans, and from Heavy Red, Retroscope Fashions, Lastware, and Kambriel. I am ridiculously excited about this store, even if it spells doom for my pocketbook.

I'll be doing an in-store signing event there on Friday, September 2, at 6:30 pm. Please stop by, say hi, and browse the wares!

Guess what? It's time for another Time Traveler's Rummage Sale! Yep, the last one was so much fun, they organized another one. (Plus, it will be a month away from Steamcon III, and people will be looking for last-minute additions to their outfits.) Yes indeedy, I will be vending there! I've got Cranky!Bloomers! I'm culling my closets again! And oh my yes, the ever-popular Bags! Of! Mystery! will be back, filled with all-new mysterious goodies. (Let me put it this way: the Infamous BlueJay is clearing out her fabric and trim stash and handing things to me. Really, really nifty things.)

Some of you may remember there has been a Mysterious Project I have offhandedly mentioned. (And went on a trip to PDX for.)

Soon, SOON, I will be able to Tell All! Until that day (which might be, oh, next week), you might want to take a look at this blog for a sneak peek.
Cranky!Bloomers for sale!

Here they are, the Cranky!Bloomers. Made from new scrub pants, trimmed with vintage lace, and adorned with hand-embroidered patches proclaiming your cranky state. (Hand-embroidered while watching silly vampire movies, for that extra gothy-goth touch!)

Sizes available:

The Time Travelers' Rummage Sale went very well. Thank you to everyone who came out, and extra thanks to everyone who purchased something from me! The Bags of Mystery! sold out in under 2 hours, and there were people who were very sad that they had missed them.

I still have pairs of Cranky!Bloomers left. I will take pictures and note sizes, and probably post that information tomorrow.

---

Extra-special, "Oh my GOODNESS!" astonished thanks go to the Kelsay family, who surprised me with a present! They decided I needed the Beetlejuice jewelry box by ravenofskys on Etsy. I am delighted and touched by the gift, and am going to probably store my skull cameos in it. It's so cute!

Ooof. The thing about having a collection of long-term health issues that I apparently still haven't gotten used to is how much easier it is for me to be worn out. (If you listen closely, you can hear [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts and [livejournal.com profile] staxxy muttering "WE TOLD YOU!" at me.) I bailed on the StuntHusband and our plans to go dancing last night, and instead flopped on the couch watching Moulin Rouge and doing some hand sewing that wasn't working on Cranky!Bloomers.

Today, I am still feeling wiped out. Not fair! I have stuff I need to do! But apparently the more strenuous of that stuff is going to have to wait a day or so, until my energy comes back and my body stops aching. But I do have enough energy to call Victor and schedule an appointment to get a new set of fangs made*, so that's good.

*Yes, I'm getting new fang caps. That is one of the things I promised myself with any profits from the sale. New fangs, and then to decide if I put money toward a tattoo, or toward the Fluevog Mini Zazas (clicky-link!). Decisions, decisions.

I will have a table there, selling clothes, shoes, boots, and hats. And! The return of the Bags Of Mystery! So come on down, and help me pay off the insanely expensive Tim Burton + Danny Elfman box set I bought. (Which was worth it.) :D
To heck with Black Friday: what are you doing next Sunday? You're doing your holiday shopping at the SeaGoth Rummage Sale!

SeaGoth Swap Meet

Quoth [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps: "There will be ample space for any one who wants to sell to have a card or folding table and a garment rack. This is 1021 square feet of hardwood with a full bathroom, kitchen and room for people to try on items (there will also be a full length mirror). Coffee/tea and cookies will be provided." If you are interested in selling stuff, contact [livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps.

Yes, I will be selling MORE STUFF. The wardrobe culling continues! Hey, do you folks think I should put together some more Bags Of Mystery! to sell? This round of them would primarily be vintage trims and so on.

SALE, SALE, SALE! I hope to see you there!
Firstly, a HUGE thank you goes to [livejournal.com profile] icprncs and [livejournal.com profile] morthael , who organized and hosted the whole thing.

Next, thank you to everyone who came by, chatted, and purchased stuff! It was nice to see people and catch up.

I took three bins full of stuff, left with two, and made more money that I spent with the other sellers. I call that a win. :)

Sometime within the next few weeks, I may have another online sale. I am also really-I-mean-it going to start up an Etsy store to sell off various fabrics, trims, and altered one-of-a-kind clothing items. (Because ... I have free time? Ha. No I don't, but I need to get the Etsy store running.)

Again, thank you everyone! It was a wonderful time!
Tonight I am a guest on Altered Realities Radio! 10:30PM EST (which is 7:30 for us West Coast types). www.alteredrealitiesradio.com

Tomorrow I will be vending at the Steampunk Swapmeet! Clothes, boots, bags, and the exciting and mysterious Surprise Bags! C'mon by!

In going through one of my boxes, I discovered that I have half a bottle of Harvest Moon 2004. Would it be worth it to put it up on eBay? I'm assuming it the answer is yes, because the collector-types would go into a tizzy at the notion of one of the Lunacies from three years ago. But still, I figured I should ask in case any of you have a better notion about the sale-worthiness of it.

Posting madness is also known as "I just remembered this question I wanted to ask the hive mind of the interwebs".

eBay is still the best place to sell comic-related collectible thingies, right? Doing a direct sale via LJ wouldn't get me as wide of a response?

The reason I ask is that I have an extra copy of the 1995 Vertigo Tarot Deck in almost mint condition. "Almost", because there is a small puncture in the front of the big white presentation box, which is from a bat-festooned candelabra falling on it during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.

(Yes, I'm serious. Vertigo tarot deck. Bat-festooned candelabra. Earthquake. Look, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.)

Anyway, I want to sell it, because I don't really need an spare copy, and extra spending money would be particularly helpful. Is eBay still my best bet?
