Pie pie pi pi pi pie!
Today is Pi(e) Day! Blog about pi or pie!
Well all righty then! First things first: I am Not A Math Person. No, seriously. My lack of understanding for math and math-related things is near-legendary among my friends. (I once passed an algebra class by adhering to the theory that when in doubt, X = 8.)
But, Pi! It's an irrational number, how cool is that? Okay, yes, I immediately think of the definition of "irrational" as in how it is frequently applied to me, instead of the mathematical definition, but still! Nifty, and think I'm going to spend a bit of my afternoon reading up more about Pi.
As for pie, the yummy baked treat: why yes, I am in favor of it. I really should bake more pies, because strangely enough, I'm really good at making pie crust.
domestinatrix thinks it's because I don't work the crust too much; my enthusiasm and attention span for baking lasts just long enough so that I don't fiddle too much with it.
A last note to leave you with: one of my dad's favorite jokes in my childhood involved the time-honored punchline of "No, Pi are round; cornbread are square".
