HOLY BATS THE GOTHIC CHARM SCHOOL BOOK HAD ITS TENTH ANNIVERSARY ON SUNDAY!
Ten years. Still in print!
And because this is the place where I vagueblog about this type of stuff (and people who know what I'm vagueblogging about, if you post a comment, please keep those vague, too):
That year was amazing, both good and bad. I published a book! I went on a book tour! I also got laid off from my full-time job at MSFT, had a breast cancer scare, skirted the edge of a nervous breakdown, and some other poor life choices that went along with the almost nervous breakdown. But when all was said and done, the good outweighed the bad.
Ten years. I now get approached by people in their early-to-mid 20s who tell me that my writing changed their lives. And every time that happens, I try not to cry, because that's a thing I never would have expected to happen in my life.
