When real things happen to imaginary people

Sooooo, I'm in Copenhagen. Which I found out I was traveling to at 7am on Wednesday. There was a bit of a scramble to get my flight booked, make sure my corporate card was good to go, get the admin at the Copenhagen office to book a hotel room for me, all while hurtling toward a deadline. But it all worked out, and I am in a very cute "eco-friendly boutique hotel" that is apparently about 5 minutes walk away from the office.

Sleep on the flight did not really happen, even with my usual bedtime medication. I dozed for maybe a total of 3 hours, which means I am PUNCHY. My plans for the evening include getting some food, meeting up with my BigBoss (who is also over here for a week) so we can plot for the coming week of meetings, and then toddle back to my room and PASS OUT. Maybe with a detour to the spa here at my cute eco-friendly boutique hotel, because OMG SPA.

My body has no idea what time it is.

Seeing "With a new foreword by Jillian Venters" on the cover of one of my favorite vampire novels is rather heady, I must admit.

In other news: the new dayjob is going well. I'm in the READ ALL THE THINGS stage, mostly in preparation for a deadline at the end of the month. And let me tell you, a work-from-home gig is the BEST THING EVER. No commute time! Breaks for petting kitties! The once-a-week 7am meeting ::shudder:: just means I huddle in front of the work laptop in my pjs! Plus, y'know, a paycheck and health insurance and all that good stuff.
