Sooooo, I'm in Copenhagen. Which I found out I was traveling to at 7am on Wednesday. There was a bit of a scramble to get my flight booked, make sure my corporate card was good to go, get the admin at the Copenhagen office to book a hotel room for me, all while hurtling toward a deadline. But it all worked out, and I am in a very cute "eco-friendly boutique hotel" that is apparently about 5 minutes walk away from the office.

Sleep on the flight did not really happen, even with my usual bedtime medication. I dozed for maybe a total of 3 hours, which means I am PUNCHY. My plans for the evening include getting some food, meeting up with my BigBoss (who is also over here for a week) so we can plot for the coming week of meetings, and then toddle back to my room and PASS OUT. Maybe with a detour to the spa here at my cute eco-friendly boutique hotel, because OMG SPA.

My body has no idea what time it is.

So glad you & Merricat have safely, if sleepily arrived!

At least it sounds like your sleep med did *something*... I've never been able to get any sleep at all on planes (as in, not even minutes), which makes for a pretty trying initial day post-landing & staying upright in passport lines after disembarking. It's one of the reasons I like to stretch trips out rather than do ones that involve a quick turnaround. Speaking of which ~ how long will you be there for? I'm really hoping you'll get an opportunity for some Aurora Borealis gazing at night! (Bonus fun fact: one of the nearest large cities North of you is Gothenburg ;))

The jet lag must be harsh on a short stay. Hope you can do a little site seeing and take advantage of the spa. Goddess…a massage would be so nice every time you get off a flight of more than 8 hours. Have fun!

If you have time, Nyhavn, the Carlsberg Glyptotek, and the Tivoli Gardens are all worth wandering by. There's also a church/tower that has its staircase on the outside, but my fear of heights kept me admiring that only from a distance.
