- The auction for the Jacket of Coveting has not yet climbed out of my price range. ::makes covetous, grabby-hands motions at the monitor::

- Writing is ... going slowly, but starting to happen again. I need to make my list of projects that need to happen. Perhaps the first one should be a new GCS column. Or a review, because I adored [livejournal.com profile] cmpriest's Bloodshot, and want to tell the world.

- Another project I need to return my attention to is sorting and taking photos for a clothing sale, which will include Bags Of Mystery! this time. I need to do this partially because I'm in debt to the house, partially because I want to start setting aside money for the tattoo that will be in memory of Mom, and partially because I am in the beginning of a decluttering epiphany/freakout. So! Watch this LJ! Many shiny, frilly, velvety things, soon to be for sale.

- Oh, and yet another project: I need to order the spikes so I can customize another pair of shoes, this time taking photos so I can write up a tutorial for GCS. (And then probably auction off the finished shoes.)

- Plus, y'know, dayjob.

In other words, I'm keeping busy. And getting ambushed by things that remind me of Mom, but that's to be expected.
Clicky-links:

Firstly, the new post at Gothic Charm School!

Secondly, this is me reminding people of the existence of the Rocklove Jewelry Gothic Charm School Batty Heart necklace and the Starborn Alchemy Gothic Charm School body butter!

Thirdly, hey, the new issue of Steampunk Tales is available, with part two of a work of fiction by me!

A question:

In a post last night about the ongoing cleaning/organizing of the Storage Heap Room O' Doom, I mentioned that I had a LOT of fabric that I wasn't going to ever use. [livejournal.com profile] jaborwhalky, because she is brilliant, suggested the following:

Make grab bags of the fabric by color and put them up for sale via your LJ at like prices of 20$ for a small bag of fabric and stuff 30$ for a bigger bag of fabric and stuff 50$ for a huge bag of fabric and stuff or the good good stuff.

Have that be with free shipping and see if you can't get more shoe money and make people you know happy with a random grab bag of Lady of the Manners fabric and crafts stuff.

Now, I think this is a really good idea. And oh, it would help me raise money to buy the assorted furniture and shelves I will need to properly organize that room. But! Do you folks reading this think it's a good idea? Would any of you be interested in it? (Yes, [livejournal.com profile] angldst, I know you already said you'd be all for it.)

I have managed to clear about half of the room now. This is very exciting!

Without even tackling the upstairs storage room heap o' doom, I have filled one large-ish box with shoes & boots that I'm going to be selling. If they are painful to wear for long stretches of time I will not wear them, no matter how darling and fabulous they are. Not even the wonderful raspberry suede granny boots with the kitten heels. They. must. GO!

I also went through all the book cases in the living room, and now have three full grocery bags of books that will be going to Half-Price Books. After, that is, I conquer the storage heap, because I know that there are more books lurking under the mounds of petticoats, skirts, and fabric. When [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage tackled the basement, we ended up lugging six bags and one box there. I don't *think* we'll match that this time, but who can tell? For all I know, the various game books that have been upstairs for years have spawned or something.

[livejournal.com profile] alexiarnps, when did we want to hold the Gothy Yard Sale? I can't remember if we picked a date or not.

I am not looking forward to the next few days. Sure, I'll have that righteous glow of accomplishment when I finally do unearth the floor in my storage room, but getting to that point is going to be long, tiring, and swelteringly hot. Oh, and if all of you could send "No spiders!" thoughts my way this weekend, I would muchly appreciate it. So would [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage, as I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be startled from his work deadlines by me shrieking and flailing my way out of the room ...
