Due to a combination of a whole bunch of things, it was decided that I should visit PDX. So for this week, I am working REALLY remotely. As in, from [livejournal.com profile] cass404's couch. Whee!

Completely unrelatedly: since I don't read fashion magazines anymore (except for the annual Fall issue of Vogue that's roughly the same size as a phonebook), has there been some sort of fashion memo that dark cherry/plum lipsticks are back? Chanel may not be making Vamp anymore (the fools!), but Wet & Wild has "Cherry Crush", which is a dead ringer for it, and Sephora's version is "Crush". Which means, yay, I can stock up on my lipstick color!

(Yes, I have a small box in the 'fridge that I keep tubes of lipstick in. Look, when you have very specific requirements about lipstick colors, you learn to stockpile when those colors come briefly into fashion.)

Yay!

*takes notes on where to get lipstick*

Would that I had been more clever about that during the brief, glorious period when one could walk into a drugstore and get a decent blue!

Oooo, that is a good idea. How long do the lipsticks last in the fridge?

My experience has been they last for three or four years.

I may or may not have six tubes of dark purple lipstick that is actually dark purple stashed away. It may or may not also be of the Wet'n'Wild variety, which means a desperate attempt at learning to line my lips.

My fridge door is getting a little crowded, so I may bring some NYX lipsticks that don't work for me to see if you'd like them (my natural lip color tends to create...er..interesting shades despite what the color on the tube is).

I still cling to the remains of my tube of Sheer Shiver. I've had it for eight years, so I HIGHLY doubt it's still safe to wear, but oh, it made me the prettiest little drowning victim...

I'm not finding "Cherry Crush" on the Wet n Wild site - was it "Cherry Bomb"?

Whoops! Yes, it is "Cherry Bomb".

Unrelatedly, I have sand for you!
