I have been rather lax for a while now about going for walks during the day. Yes, I have been using the Wii Fit (off and on), but I need to get back in the habit of a half-hour walk every day. Today, I couldn't bring myself to leave my office, but I did pace around my office for almost the entire length of an episode of Pushing Daisies. And then my iPod battery ran out. But, it was a walk (of a sort), and I think I'll find briskly pacing around my office while watching Pushing Daisies is something I'll be willing to find time for every day.

Earlier today, while staring forlornly at a topic one of my writers had handed off, there was a knock at my office door. The super-cool senior editor I work with had gone to run some errands, and brought back cupcakes. Mmmm, cupcake.

Tonight: start writing the next GCS on the bus home. Dinner, then possibly watching Let The Right One In (yay vampires!), and writing an email concerning perfumes.

Sometime before Thursday, I need to go through my petticoat collection and find the few that are mid-calf length, because my skirt for the Vampire Ball is above ankle-length. Yes, people will be able to see my feet, which is not my usual standard at a fancy dress-up event. But my black leather granny boots with the pink ribbons will be perfect with the outfit, so yay.

Hooray for pacing while watching Pushing Daisies!

[livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine just bought a Wii Fit, so I've been playing with it too. I am Very Interested in making my age go downwards, as I'm quite convinced I can't possibly be the age I am now.

It was 27 degrees out today, though, so I was not at all enthusiastic about going for any sort of walk outside. I took out the trash, and that was QUITE ENOUGH, thank you!

Cupcakes keep turning up in things I read and look at today. I think this is a sign that I need to go get one.

I saw an Apron with chocolate cupcakes in pink wrappers at Metropolitan Market the other day and thought of you.

Can't wait for this weekend! I'm hoping we can manage to make it to the meet and greet this time.

I must ask, what sort of petticoat do you use? Your poof is always so good.

Do you mean the poof I get in my day-to-day fluffy skirts? Square dance petticoats. If you get vintage-ish ones, they aren't so mushroom-shaped, but even new ones work really well under heavier-weight skirts. Don't tell [livejournal.com profile] egl. ;-)

Hee hee I don't think they'd believe me if I did. Thanks!

YOU have seen my feet, missy. They're just not usually on display for an evening-ish fancy event.

Have you tried doing a little bit of skipping instead of going for a walk sometimes? I find it helps me on the days I don't feel like going for walks - I do about 200 to 300 skips and I feel like I've done my exercise for the day.

What a good suggestion! No, I had never tried that, but oh yes, I will. Thank you!

Yeah, I'm a bit mad that they haven't had a new episode since The Norwegians AND that this is going to be the last season.

Oo, I've been wanting to see Let the Right One In.

ooo, I have Let The Right One In sitting on my tv, calling to me seductively even now. I've heard it's the best vampire movie evar.

Now I want a cupcake. Why do you torment me?
