Am I craving coffee enough that I'm willing to settle for the somewhat mediocre coffee available at the coffee stand in the cafeteria? Or will I sigh and have a pot of (very tasty, but not what I'm craving) tea? Why is there not a coffee shop within walking distance of my office? I realize that Redmond is not quite up to Seattle's coffee shop on every corner level of insanity, but still. Vexing, that's what it is. Very vexing.

I would like to extend my condolences to those of you who were hoping for more summer weather. My walk from the bus stop to my building this morning included red and orange fallen leaves swirling around. Which made me incredibly happy, but probably depressed the Orb-worshipers around here.

Weather like this makes me want to start my yearly re-reading of Something Wicked This Way Comes early. But no, I will wait until the Proper Time, which is October.

No need to offer me condolences. This means to me that winter is not to far off AT ALL. And that means I can get to slopes as soon as it starts snowing. :)

Stupid orb worshippers

Not willing to appreciate Fall for the joy that it is.

Now, if this weather were 30 degrees hotter, I'd be in absolute heaven, mainly because today I can't spell the word for very happy happiness that starts with an "e"

Vaguely coffee-related bit: Our $BUX is pimping the new Clover and they were passing out samples. It tasted just like hot Guinness. Surely this cannot be what they are aiming for. Hot stout? Really?

Re: GAH!

I kind of thought it would turn out like that saying, you know, something about swallow a live frog first thing in the morning and your day can only go up from there, but that didn't prove to be the case.

So jealous that proper weather that has descended upon you. The evil orb is still gripping this area and torturing us with temperatures in the 90's. (I know, this is what I get for being trapped in Florida). I would gladly change places with any Orb-worshipers.

Enjoy the beautiful leaves. I so miss the changes in seasons.

I realize that Redmond is not Seattle, but it does seem that a large campus full of coffee drinkers would have coffee shops all around it. Of course, it could be that I know not of what I speak.

I am not overly enamoured of the orb, but I must say, this year we've gotten so little of it in Southeast Alaska, indeed in all of Alaska, that I feel as if I am growing webbed feet and mold. So, I don't mind the fall or the cold, but I could use a leeetle more orb.

Yea! No more evil glowing thing in sky

I am thrilled that we may be back to cool and grey!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Why don't you have a way to make coffee - like a French Press & a water heater in your office? Is it because it is not pretty enough? You could make it pretty... And you could have good coffee too...

Just a thought.

::makes a squinchy face::

I don't like Starbucks coffee to begin with, so the coffee machines are even less enticing to me.
