Ohhhhh, cool and overcast and possibly rainy. Could the weather stay like this through Thursday evening, please? You people can have the orb back for the weekend, I promise. I just want proper weather until then. Really, I have a reason other than "Yay gloom!".

To celebrate proper weather, I am wearing my beloved Cavalli jacket from H&M. The one that [livejournal.com profile] e_juliana braved the crowds for to snag for me, the one that looks like it came straight from Adam Ant's closet. No, I didn't manage to get a photo taken this morning, because I was running a bit late.

... I don't really have anything interesting or clever to post at the moment. I just wanted to post Yay weather! So, what's up with you people?

I am glad for a brief respite from the sun as well. It smells better. :)

I am currently leaving offerings for Herr Solens, so that he will come back and bless is with his blinding, fiery goodness.

And cursing the Devs who won't fix my HDTV bug.

Yey weather...

I wasn't paying too much attention while driving.. other then watching other cars... and then it finally dawned on me that it was raining... I was like YEY!!!

I'm being all crazy making hats! You'll love some of the ones I have ready, but I'm not showing them to anyone yet! :D

I read that there are three H&Ms opening in the Seattle area in the near future (one may have already just done so) and I thought of you!

Hiding from the Orb, drinking tea, playing loud dance music from the BBC Asian Network and teaching K. to knit.

Have you looked in the Metro's window?

There's a coat there just for me, somewhat like a gloomy version of your new jacket.

I may have to snag it. I don't know what trousers I'd wear with it, but my my my...

Re: Have you looked in the Metro's window?

Ooooh, you should get it. We can figure out trousers later.

(Heeeeey - sometime in the next couple of weeks, would you be interested in going thrift shopping?)

Work, housework (K's in the midst of midterms and totally swamped so anything other than that falls to me), trying to get some clothing-mod projects sorted out and started, grumbling about the muscles I apparently pulled in my back at dance class last night, and laughing/boggling about the latest Twilight uproars (while also contemplating some fascinating sociological implications about the nature of its success).

Also, being vaguely frustrated because I am *positive* I recently saw a jacket that meets the criteria you set out yesterday, but I can't remember where without spending hours looking.

I am RAPT WITH GLEE at the current Twilight uproars. Seriously, since the first sparkles of the spoiler-fests started appearing on my FL, I have been giggling my head off. I hope a copy of the 4th book turns up at Half Price Books very soon after August 1. (I refuse to buy that book new. Just ... no.)

I understand the frustration in trying to find the sort of jacket I'm looking for; I too am sure I recently saw a link for that style, but can I find it again? Nooooo.

I am also amused by the fangirl shock troops that descended on ComiCon. That's part of the sociological thing--the size and intensity of this fandom has come completely out of the blue for a fandom and media establishment that has pretty much ignored it because it's "girly."

People in Haiti reduced to eating mud. AUGH!

Shoulder still sore from a very good aikidoing on Saturday.

Shirley Bassey's voice in my head.

Sorry about your shoulder! I hope I didn't hurt anything seriously. You guys should *never* let me demonstrate aikido 1)when I'm drunk, 2)in the dark, and 3)on uneven ground ever.

:p I'll live, nothing worse than what judo's done (hello arm popping loose of socket, bruised ribs, etc.)!

I was actually just wishing for a nice solid rain, a hard, soaking rain. For at least a day. Even the weekend, honestly. I love a rainy weekend in summer, I'm twisted. :) It breaks up the hot that I love, so I continue to love it...

And THAT'S why I love this leather jacket--it's Adam-Ant-esque-ness. http://www.jessicalondon.com/clothing/JL-Studio-Button-Detail-Leather-Jacket.aspx?PfId=110432&DeptId=14421&producttypeid=1&pref=ps&PurchaseType=G (I'm trying to decide if I want it, and then if I want green or brown... fashion advice always happily accepted).

How 'bout if you get doom and gloom during the week and I can get clear skies on the weekend when I am hiking? Mind you, I LOVE my gloom and clouds and ZOMG LOVE THE COLD, but when hiking I want sun with temperate weather so I can enjoy the freakin' views.
