Hey look at that! I'm on page 2 out of a gazillion! (clicky-link for voting, wheee!)

In other news I'm still sick. I'm going to try to log in and work from home today, because I've got Things To Do. But wow, unwell. When I am too woozy to be able to concentrate on re-reading trashy vampire novels, something is wrong.

I realized last night that what I really want is someone (like say, [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage or [livejournal.com profile] pandarus) to read Something Wicked This Way Comes or From Dust Returned out loud to me. But [livejournal.com profile] stroppy_baggage is up against a horrible deadline, and [livejournal.com profile] pandarus is in Thailand, so the chances of getting either of them to read me a book are, to put it mildly, unlikely.

I feel dreadful. Tell me amusing and entertaining things, please?

I have no amusement for you. I only hope you don't have the same crap I have. This is fucking miserable. Back to the doctor with me today.

I just hope you are both better before Saturday and can celebrate my birthday with me.

I hope we all feel better by then, really. :(

I want all my friends to have webcams. Then [livejournal.com profile] pandarus could totally read to you.

I do believe it's something wicked that my friend [livejournal.com profile] 3countylaugh reads aloud every October, once a week, for a month. It's delightful!

Do you read Planet Karen? (http://planetkaren.girl-wonder.org/)

'cause I think you might like it.

The (*&! site told me I had already voted today, which I haven't. Turds.

I have nothing amusing to share, as I did not have the camera ready when Natasha (Youngest Cat) decided to, once again, test the law of gravity and leap up onto the side of the door casing, several feet up it, and cling to it, legs wrapped around either side of it, with this 'oh, fuck, now why did I do that?!?' look on her face. She remained hanging there for almost a minute, right side of her in the kitchen, left side of her in the laundry room, before deciding that she had no options but just letting go and dropping.

I had this issue the other day. I think doing a re-fresh fixed it.

My new trainer is working me so hard that my arms shake for an hour after the workout. It makes me laugh that I have to use two hands to cut cheese right now.

Also, I'm up for a Test Lead (V-) position at MS again. :)

[livejournal.com profile] amacker has two perfect black cats, and one absolutely ginormous greenwing macaw named Ishtar. Ishtar knows 35 words and will sit on the bed with the cats, bouncing and dancing, as the two cats regard with indulgent amusement.

She has a curving staircase in her house, Beanflower House; the bits under the handrail are metallurgy full of sihouetted laughing screaming nightwingy dragonsbeastie things.

I thought of you, looking at the black cats and the high talkative beams in the ceilings and the laughing dragonbeastie things.
