In other news I'm still sick. I'm going to try to log in and work from home today, because I've got Things To Do. But wow, unwell. When I am too woozy to be able to concentrate on re-reading trashy vampire novels, something is wrong.

I realized last night that what I really want is someone (like say, stroppy_baggage or pandarus) to read Something Wicked This Way Comes or From Dust Returned out loud to me. But stroppy_baggage is up against a horrible deadline, and pandarus is in Thailand, so the chances of getting either of them to read me a book are, to put it mildly, unlikely.

I feel dreadful. Tell me amusing and entertaining things, please?

amacker has two perfect black cats, and one absolutely ginormous greenwing macaw named Ishtar. Ishtar knows 35 words and will sit on the bed with the cats, bouncing and dancing, as the two cats regard with indulgent amusement.

She has a curving staircase in her house, Beanflower House; the bits under the handrail are metallurgy full of sihouetted laughing screaming nightwingy dragonsbeastie things.

I thought of you, looking at the black cats and the high talkative beams in the ceilings and the laughing dragonbeastie things.
