Random strangeness witnessed while sitting on the corporate connecter shuttle to work: the guy in the seat in the next row over is looking at a webpage that's showing Magic cards. No, I can't see them clearly enough to know what set, or recognize the artwork. But still, funny!

So the connecter shuttle thingie seems to be pretty cool. Yes, I have to get up slightly earlier, but the shuttles have wi-fi, so I can log onto work email and be a Productive Worker Bee about an hour earlier than I usually would.

Oh bother, I forgot to transfer the awesome ElderGoth photo from Saturday night off of the camera. Sorry! I'll try to do it tonight. Last night was full of Gothy Upkeep: hair dye, black manicure and pedicure, and finishing the new stripey skirt I was making.

Hey, speaking of that new stripey skirt, Shallow Fashion Details! )

EDITED TO ADD: Ha! I was in the kitchen brewing some more tea, and a very nice young man walked up and said "You're Jillian, right? I saw an interview with you on Microspotting ..."
So, the Twilight series.

Do I think they're well-written? Oh gracious, no.

Do I think they have some many annoying and kinda skeezy issues? Oh gracious, yes. (Bella! Grow a damn spine! Someone stalking you and watching you sleep is NOT OKAY even if they're a cute boy! No, really.)

Did the whole spaaaaarkly vampire! thing make me crack up laughing? Oh yes. (It's true! Vampires avoid the sun because they sparkle!)

Did I enjoy the books in the same way I enjoy occasionally eating junk food? Oh hell yes.

Here, go read Cleolinda's take on the Twilight series (clicky link), because we apparently have matching opinions about them, and I don't have the time right now to write up a long and coherent post.
