Random strangeness witnessed while sitting on the corporate connecter shuttle to work: the guy in the seat in the next row over is looking at a webpage that's showing Magic cards. No, I can't see them clearly enough to know what set, or recognize the artwork. But still, funny!
So the connecter shuttle thingie seems to be pretty cool. Yes, I have to get up slightly earlier, but the shuttles have wi-fi, so I can log onto work email and be a Productive Worker Bee about an hour earlier than I usually would.

Oh bother, I forgot to transfer the awesome ElderGoth photo from Saturday night off of the camera. Sorry! I'll try to do it tonight. Last night was full of Gothy Upkeep: hair dye, black manicure and pedicure, and finishing the new stripey skirt I was making.
Hey, speaking of that new stripey skirt,
*I made this! All by myself! I even drafted the pattern, and didn't sew any of the pieces together backwards! To say that I'm proud of this skirt would be somewhat of an understatement.
EDITED TO ADD: Ha! I was in the kitchen brewing some more tea, and a very nice young man walked up and said "You're Jillian, right? I saw an interview with you on Microspotting ..."

Hey, speaking of that new stripey skirt,
- Black leather granny boots, laced up with pink & black striped ribbon, worn with black tights.
- Knee-length skirt with ruffled hem, made from a stretchy black/white/pink striped fabric*, worn over a knee-length pink petticoat.
- Black high-collar blouse with ruffles.
- Black military jacket with two rows of silver buttons.
- Hair worn down, no hat, lace hair ties, or anything.
- Jewelry: the usual silver rings, a silver pocket watch on a ribbon around my neck, and a cupcake & crossbones "cameo" pendant (thanks,
queeniex!) on a pink satin ribbon tied in a bow as a choker around the high collar of the blouse. Oh, and tiny skull & crossbones earrings. - Makeup: YSL Touche Éclat, translucent powder, MAC eyeshadows in Mylar and Pink Papillion, black liquid liner on the top lids, black pencil on the lower lids, NYX Doll Eyes mascara, and NARS Chandernagor lipstick.

Anyway, I am pretty happy with the Doll Eyes mascara. It gives me the same effect as DiorShow, but doesn't smudge and is only $8. I like that combination.
Hey, have you tried your fancy new nail polish yet? I'm waiting for a review!

I didn't have the energy to pull off black nails this week, so I haven't tried the Zoya stuff yet -- that's in my plans for this weekend and I promise I'll update about it. Evidently their Raven polish is a Chanel whatever-the-black-is-called dupe, right down to the "faint ribbon of shimmer." That's nice. :) I'm looking forward to finding out.
