We hired professional tree people to come and do a substantial amount of work on our yard. The apple tree has been pruned, and all the blackberry vines and morning glory have been removed from it. The smaller apple tree is no longer leaning. And the blackberry thicket (too large to be called a patch) is GONE. I'm sure they'll come back (and maybe in time for me to harvest blackberries in late August), but for now? The yard is a lot larger.
