When real things happen to imaginary people

Firstly, I think I've gotten back to everyone with shipping quotes for the goodies from the clothing sale. If you are still waiting on that sort of info from me, PLEASE let me know! Local folks, I am poking at my schedule to figure out good meet-up times, but if you have preferences, tell me.

So, hair color. I have unnaturally black hair, and have had for ... gosh, two decades now. Before that, I had unnaturally burgundy hair. My current hair color of choice is Clairol's demi-permanent soy creme color, which I buy at Sally's Beauty Supply.

But. I always think longingly about doing something DIFFERENT with my hair color. What I really, really want is pink hair. Yes, go on, look surprised. A while ago, the delightful imflying helped me do a test bleach strand to see if the two decades worth of black dye would lift from the ends of my hair. Ha. No, no it would not. Woe! I also like the idea of extensions, but I would want human hair ones in pink, and oh, the expense involved in that is a bit off-putting.

My latest idle thought is maybe I should let my roots grow out for a while, bleach them, and dye them pink, thus giving myself two-tone hair. But I can't make up my mind about how that would really look, and if it would be horribly, horribly damaging to my hair. (Which I occasionally have worries about with regards to "OHMYGOD is my hair thinning? I can't tell. Iiieeee!") Not to mention that I can almost guarantee that the Stroppy One would be, erm, resistant to my having pink and black hair. But I'm still tempted by the notion ...
