- As yesterday progressed, I became more and more cranky, until I was mildly seething at everything, hated my outfit, and the Body Image Monsters were trying to stage a coup. Last night watching [livejournal.com profile] queeniex on UStream, re-watching The Lost Boys, drinking a glass of absinthe, and reading fic helped immensely, but I decided that working from home today as sort of a mental health day was probably a good idea. (Well, actually the Stroppy One suggested it, and he was right.)

- I'm still recovering from The Plague. My energy levels are nowhere near what they usually are, which vexes me.

- Ravenofskys is taking offers on everything in her Etsy shop, because she needs to raise money due to car issues. Quick, someone go buy me the taxidermied bat in a cage! (clicky-link!) (Not that I think anyone will, nor do I DEMAND it with feet-stamping, but whooo, I do covet that thing.)

- Other things that make me want to spend money: the deluxe edition of Disintegration by The Cure (clicky-link!) was released this week. Oooh, wanty.

- But I'm not buying it yet, because this Sunday is Mourning Market, and who knows what tempting goodies I may find there?
Firstly, a conversation via Twitter between myself and [livejournal.com profile] kambriel, about the vampire killing kit:

Kambrieldesign @CupcakeGoth What about the vampire protector kit ~ who's going to *protect* the vampires?! ;)

CupcakeGoth @Kambrieldesign My theory is the vampires are the ones creating/collecting them, as a form of protective coloration. ;)

(Yes, that's how my brain works.)

Secondly, I know that taxidermy is not everyone's thing, so I'll put the image behind a cut-tag. But if I were a fabulously wealthy eccentric, you'd better BELIEVE I would be purchasing this antique Victorian cage housing a preserved bat!

Bat! In an ornate cage! )

Mind you, I can almost guarantee that the Stroppy One wouldn't want me to have it displayed in the house. But oh! How I want it. Stamp my cliché card now, please.
