Happy Solstice, folks. Now the light comes back.

I did NOT get to see the lunar eclipse last night, thanks to the cloud cover. But it was nifty just knowing that it was happening. Instead, I did what I usually do on a Solstice: talked to Clovis about what I wanted the next six months to bring. (Yes, I'm serious. Just nod, and accept that my particular forms of magic and ritual are different than most.)

Today is chores, chores, chores. Tonight is the traditional Father & Daughter holiday shopping expedition, also known as "How many people will Jilli and her Dad confuse!" It's one of my favorite holiday traditions. This year, to ward off "Are you a caroler?" questions, I think I will wear a B&W striped blazer, fluffy skirts, and my skeleton Docs. And a top hat, of course.

Watched the moon go all blood red via NASA live feed.
Here is the best video I have found of the event.
Time Lapse Video of Lunar Eclipse on December 21, 2010 from Gainesville Florida. 1:10 AM EST (6:10 GMT) to 5:03 AM EST (10:03 GMT). Music is Claude Debussy Noctures: Sirènes

I got to watch it last night at work at ten minute intervals. Kept running outside to see the progress and hoping nothing in the oven burned. I only wish it was a clearer sky, but it was still pretty cool.

Clovis magic is very powerful indeed. Let me know if any of those forward-looking intentions are things I might be able to help with. May they all come true!

Is it wrong I really want to costume a group of undead carolers? Watching the last recorded episode of The Walking Dead tonight. Visions of zombies dancing in my head.

I am going to try and get a group of zombie carolers together next year. We shall sing brains to the tune of jingle bells.

Happy Solstice, Jillian! Alas, I did not get to see the eclipse either, as it's also quite cloudy here in Jolly Old.

Nods in understanding.

I have a small collection of magic helpers, like Diego and Elektra, and Bearney...who all happen to be of a similar soft species as Clovis Bunny. Very good magic indeed!
