A bathroom mirror shot today, as [livejournal.com profile] mauraanderson is on vacation.

In other news, why is it so difficult to find a b&w striped blazer in a size 12/14? I want another one to dye pink. Is that so much to ask?

I don't know about the striped blazers, because I haven't been looking, but it was more difficult than I expected today to find a black lace demi bra in 34D (which is where my size has settled, lately -- I thought my bras were just getting old, but apparently I had redistributed my weight!). I want to just snap my fingers and have it appear.

I hope it's some consolation that you'll have a three-mink scarf (beady eyes and little feet and tails and all) turn up on your doorstep in a few days!

Aaaaahhhh, so you to are searching for larger cup sizes in bras? Dito . . . but try finding them in nursing bras . . . eeep!

(There are some websites I have found that carry larger bra sizes, if you want some links I'll be happy to PM you the addresses.)

Luckily, 34D is still a common enough stock size. The trouble was actually that they only had ONE version of a black lace demi bra in the store (VS, whose bras are typically overpriced, but I had a coupon) and the spare sizes were NOT in the drawer directly under, but hiding somewhere else, and the drawer directly under had a full-cup bra, and although I weaned my child fourteen years ago, my breasts still have that post-nursing shape to them where they are fuller on the bottom than on top, and so an unpadded full-cup bra large enough to contain the SIDES will inevitably wrinkle at the top of the cup, so I VERY MUCH wanted a demi-cup bra, and there was ONLY ONE 34D left in the store, and it was HIDING. I sat for quite a while in the fitting room, waiting for the attendant to bring me the right one, and posting Facebook updates about the appropriateness of the padded walls.

Aaaahhh yes, the joys of bra shopping. Such fun huh/ No wonder the walls were padded . . . . . but at least you got one!

Yes indeed! It helps that I KNOW how to assess fit, and so I already had a good guess of which sizes to try on in the hopes of finding something that wouldn't stand an inch away from my sternum or dig into my sides. That was why I took six in there initially!

And the one I got is PRETTY. My usual workaday solution involves shelf bra camis, so when I wear a separate one, it had DAMNED well better be decorative!

Good luck finding the nursing bras in the size you need.

Oooo! Pretty bras! Yea, massive bras that resemble small parachutes, not all that pretty or fun to have on.

Huuuummm, that reminds me, I need a new bra or two. Time to start saving!

As for nursing bras, I'm more than likely going to go with Amazon, they at least have one style in my size.

while you look very youthful in this shot, you also look a bit 'deer in headlights'. A little smile would be best. ;)

Also, very cute outfit.

Oh my, that look is almost sultry. Geek that I am, a MS cubicle would have been much better location than the bathroom though.

Shooting trip is in the works.

No mirrors in the cubicles! Otherwise I would have used that option.

Oooh, shooting things!

You do realize, that the men on this list are seeing quite a bit of women's bathroom in these shots, traditionally _forbidden territory_ ! :D

I really like this look.

It was really good seeing you and Pete (and the parents) on Sunday.

The only one I've found this year. (http://www.avenue.com/clothing/Striped-Cotton-Plus-Size-Blazer.aspx?PfId=189582&DeptId=10304&ProductTypeId=1&PurchaseType=0) However, those mini-check contrast panels have been giving me pause.

Yeah, I keep looking at that and going "gnng, not quite".

Cute! Especially the necklace. It bears repating: you're the only person I know who can make going around bare-headed somehow look risqué.

Off topic but....

Hey Lady of Manners I thought of you the other day when I got my Avon order...have you seen the Glimmersticks Diamonds eyeliner? Yes glittery eyeliner pencil that actually looks good.

Also everytime I see your phone I wonder if it is a modded case or what..so I am gonna ask finally..What is it and where did you get it?

I like the skirt and vest very very much. Also, your pose is rather coquettish. I do enjoy your outfits!

Not a blazer...

I was at the mall yesterday and saw this jacket (http://www.betseyjohnson.com/store/productdetails2.aspx?categoryid=2400&productid=9135&np=2400) (clicky-link!) in the window at the Betsey Johnson store... and indeed, it comes in pink. Might be a little too much white for you, but I thought I'd point it out.
