I slept for almost 12 hours. It was wonderful. All hail NyQuil.

I am feeling better, thank goodness. Unfortunately, the Stroppy One is feeling weak and easily tired. People who offered to leave food on our doorstep? I may end up needing to take advantage of those kind offers. I'll send folks email if things come to that.

If I feel well enough today, I am going to attempt to make cold-brewed coffee. Because while my iced tea is lovely, I REALLY REALLY want iced coffee right now. (I also REALLY REALLY want chicken tortilla soup, and a cupcake.)

I did some more plinking around on Polyvore last night. As I've said before, [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts is the Queen of Polyvore; it's a medium she's fantastic in. (Which makes sense, since she has a MFA and is insanely talented.) Me, I just use Polyvore to make style sheets of outfits I like, generally using things I either actually have in my closet, or items that are similar to what I own. Yes, Polyvore is a giant paper doll site for me. Last night, while making the set I posted here, the Stroppy One looked over and said something along the lines of "Oh God, you're Mary Sue-ing Polyvore". He's ... not wrong.

yay better and sleep!!

And remember that feeling better is not the same as feeling well. :)

Believe me, I just got an object lesson about how better is not the same as well. I still have no energy reserves, which makes me really really cranky.

yeah. It's an important thing to remember. It trips me up, often enough.

I love polyvore! Its like a giant closet where I can try on stuff that I don't actually own.

Exactly! [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts creates all of these gorgeous, fantastic pieces of art on there, whereas I'm all "Oooh, I think this sort of outfit would look good."

Hi

Hello Lady of the Manners. I finally finished drawing a picture of you. ^_^ I hope you like it. Guess I'm not the only one writing a fanfic except mine's a comic. So expect random questions. And what's your cat's name?

The picture is right here http://strawberrygoth.deviantart.com/art/Lady-of-the-Manners-Fanart-136811396

Re: Hi

Hi there! Oh, that's a very cute drawing - you even included [livejournal.com profile] clovisdvlbunny! (He's going to be very smug about that.)

I have three cats - Trinian, a fluffy white & brown spotted girl, and Tzepesh and Ruthven, brothers who are black tuxedo kitties.

A comic? Oh goodness, I can't wait to see it. :)

If you need anything - just let me know.

Oh boy . . . I may have to go play around on Polyvore later . . . There is a skirt on there that I covet. It is blue and can be all gathered up and be all swishy, or look all regular . . . I prefer the swishy look :)

Also, what brand of hair dye do you use? Your complexion is very close to mine (pretty darn pale) and my ash blond hair (yes, natural coloring) and sometimes I like dyeing my hair something fun. Or I might put red streaks in it. Who knows.

OMG

Now you have the cutest fan art too! You are sooo lucky!
Sheesh what am I supposed to say about all the kind things you have been mentioning about me and Polyvore Thanks :}

And I am sorry, the Mary-Sue thing made me snort my tea hee hee hee

Ohhh you have reminded me that I haven't read the fandic that was written for your GCS - I am off....

HUGE hugs - I am tired but doing pretty well.

Re: OMG

The story idea for the fanfic is very cute. Her spelling and punctuation are a little ... enthusiastically scattered.

You ARE the queen of Polyvore! I could never ever manage to be as good at it as you.

hee hee hee

oh my gods the idea of Mr Venters driving a short black bus in a top hat made me totally giggle - and my muscles are complaining - Oh wow - and the apple tree in the back yard.... spooky

Thank you for your kind words about my work on Polyvore - it makes me happy and I guess I can't ask for more.

Keep getting better, love - and just yell if you need something and the local cav isn't able :> (remembering Staxxy's comment the first time I offered ;>)

chicken tortilla soup

I had to read that twice.

ETA: Get well soon. I'd happily deliver stuff, but it wouldn't be hot when I got there.

NyQuil. The drought of the Gods.

Pity they took all the REALLY good stuff out of it.
