Where do I fall on the issue? That I'm hoping the Twilight movie plays at one of the local theatres that offers food and drink, as that will save me the effort of having to hide a flask in my purse. Oh, and that I am not going to try and see the spaaaaaaarkly vampire movie on the opening weekend, because I don't want to be deafened by the shrieking fangirls.

Yes. I may see it but not for a few weeks. Must let the hysteria die down a bit.

And mostly because the lead actor seems like a smart guy with a good attitude about the whole thing.

If you hear about it playing at a local food and drink place, please post it! I'd love to see this movie in that type of environment :>.

I'm plotting to sneak in with a friend. We paid cold hard cash to see High School Musical 3 a couple weeks ago (granted: matinee), but I just hate Stephenie Meyer too much after "Breaking Dawn" (http://electrolicious.com/2008/08/my-breaking-dawn-review) to feel ok about putting any more cash in her pocket.

If you want to see it with my friend and I, we would love to have you :)
We intend to hit Von's before hand and get proper toasted. We will also probably not go for a couple of weeks, yet!

Thanks I came up the idea, and my friend Megan executed it.
This one, however, was fully lifted from someone else :)

Ambivalent. Haven't read the books, wasn't impressed with the made-for-cable-TV-movie feeling I got from the clip shown on a talk show promoting the movie nor the preview that I've seen.

I'll probably wait for the DVD unless I hear "must see" from enough friends with like-minded movie preferences.

Things that are in theaters now that I want to see:

Synecdoche, New York
Slumdog Millionaire
Let The Right One In

Hmm...where else besides the Big Picture has drinks? (BP is playing the Bond film)

haven't read the last book, but did read the first two for assorted reasons.

my hope is that the fact it's a film erases the part where the writing in the books is awful. maybe this will be one of those times where the way a film changes a book is a really good thing....

maybe the necessity of the physical actions being visible will fix the part where clearly a certain writer wasn't picturing what it would actually look like if people actually did the things she said.

and maybe the pretty lead sparkly boy will be distracting enough that i won't notice the suck. i have made it through many a rubbish film by being enamoured of someone(s) pretty in it....

that said, if i go, it will only be if i don't have to pay, if i get to go in particular company (not likely), and if i find time (least likely one of all).

but nothing could get me out there this weekend. short of my own tremendously hot vampire :p

I haven't read the books, but after seeing the movie tonight on a whim I have decided that they are clearly AWESOME OPOSSUM and Charlie and I are going out to buy them first thing in the morning. FOR LORD'S SAKE go see it this weekend because without the fangirls you miss an intregral part of the Twilight experience. :D

Im on that diehard line of "What? See a remake of Lost Boys, but without half the violence, half the intelligence, and twice the sparkly? Yea, no."

Dont care if the books were good, I find that books to movies are rarely, if ever, correct (even LOTR had some missing items, and those are very close to the books as they stand.)

I had no idea how popular the books are, or that they are set in Forks, or that they had brought a bunch of tourism to Forks till I heard a story on NPR yesterday. Weird!

I'm going to go see it eventually as soon as the screaming fan girl hysteria is over. I get my fill of teen girls at work thankyouverymuch.

I heard there is a new theater on the east side that has food and drinks. There is also happy hour at the eateries at Bellevue Square/Bellevue Place (read: cheap, reasonably good food - us mall employees sniff those out all the time) and the theater there as well
