There are fireworks going off all over my neighborhood. This is fantastic.

I teared up and screamed and did a happy dance. I am just floored. I am so happy. I've never been prouder of my country.

One of the things going through my head is the rest of the world looking at us and going "Oh good, you're not all complete whack-a-loons".

CNN was showing people in Sydney, Aus cheering in the streets. Sydney! Not even Americans, and they're overjoyed just as much as people in NYC.

It's like New Year's Eve. The ball's dropped, a new age has dawned, and people are ready to celebrate and drink and cheer all over the world.
