Do you ever have those days where, as the day drags on, you become less and less happy about what you're wearing? (Don't fib, I know you do.) Yeah. So as the day has progressed I have realized that the waistband on this particular knee-length full skirt is too big, so the skirt hangs in a way I find exasperating. (Yes, even over the petticoats.) The black wool jacket is about 2" too long, so instead of sitting at my waist, it crumples at it. And when I tailored this particular thrift store find I apparently didn't do it enough, because the jacket seems to be about 1.5" -2" too big through the waist. As a final annoyance, I've decided that the stripy heart & bat patch I added should not be on the left arm, but really should have gone above the left breast pocket.

In short, I'm not as pleased with this outfit as I thought I would be. Grr. Everything I'm wearing is going straight back on the alterations pile when I get home.

Amazingly enough, I actually have.

My bane is socks - the elastic wouldn't be strong enough, and they'd fall down and bunch up. I seem to have finally found socks that work (huzzah!), but have socks fail 1/2 through your workday just bites.
