[livejournal.com profile] minim_calibre is looking for a new day care provider for Princess Tickybox. I told her I'd ask and see if any of you folks had suggestions for Seattle-area day care, because who knows? One of you might!

"We need somewhere around the U District, if possible, and yes, I've already checked out childcare.org and the MS compiles."

Anyone?

The seattle school district offers preschool programs starting at 3yrs old and the enrollment period will be starting shortly.

Otherwise, I recommend using child care resources. For a small fee they will do all the legwork and give you a list of places that have spots open, which narrows down the search.

If they were in West Seattle, I'd recommend mine.

I've sent an email to ask the two friends I have up there with young kids (who both work, or have a spouse that works at UW), and will let you and min know if anything comes of it!

You REALLY need to look at store.frozenreality.co.uk

Potential candidates for Clovis.

Here's one answer I got:

"Not exactly the U-district, but Phinney Ridge if they don't mind the distance. We used and liked Allegro Child Care on 67th and Phinney. There is also another child care place in the same building (I can't remember it's name, initials something like NCC) that's probably better for older (>3) pre-school age kids. Able Child Care is in the U-district, but I heard rumors that it may be closing. Our neighbors who do part day use Monkey Business, but I'm not sure if it has a full day program. Hope that's some help."
