Congratulations and Thank Yous

The Mr. & Mrs. Goth Seattle Pageant last night was a lot of fun. I'd like to congratulate the winners, hellgeist and blacklove_; I hope you have fun with the titles! Also, congratulations to the runners-up, arcitennoir & generalchaos!

The contestants this year were a good bunch, and yes, there was proof that the goth scene has a sense of humor. (As if there was any doubt. ::grins::)

A big, BIG thank you goes to hereticsaint for organizing this every year; you have my respect and admiration, darling.

And finally, I'd like to say how honored (if a bit flabbergasted!) I am to have been given the "Immortal" award. That was something I did not expect at all, and it really does mean a lot to me. Thank you very much!

There were a LOT of people out last night that I didn't recognize, which is great. Does this mean the local goth scene is becoming more active and vibrant? Goodness, that would be wonderful. (And as an aside, when & where are these people going out? I haven't seen a lot of them at Dark Requiem on Wednesdays. But yay, new people!)

You totally deserved that award. I know it was completely unanimous within the Court that we wanted you to have it too. :)

Thank you again for everything you did last night. It was appreciated more than I could say. And thank you for talking me out of doing anything I would have regretted afterward. It was nice to get a voice of reason after all the chaos and arguing that had been going on before you got therel Also, it is always a joy to see you out and chat (even if it's just for a bit). I thought you looked absolutely devine last night and am excited that you are growing your hair to the 'batwing' again. ;) Not a whole lot of people can wear it and look stunning, and you are one of those few. :)

I'm glad you were out, and it was so nice to hear that JessicaKate is doing so well! I always love to hear about the monsters and how they are doing. I'll let you know when the monster clothing comes out. ;) If she's anything like her mom *wink* then one outfit in your wardrobe just won't do! ;)

I fully approve of farce. I was glad to hear that was what it all amounted to. Farce is good for the soul. (you should see the face that was done by my friend Jason several years ago, remind me to tell you about it sometime). :D

And yet another "Congratulations!" from one who hasn't been able to keep up with his own life, let alone those he'd like to get to know better. (My apologies for not adding you earlier to my LJ's friends' list.)

girlgoth was right in saying that the vote was unanimous. It took all of what, a second(?) to decide, then we were on to the next voting decision.

I know we've rarely talked, but if we had that night, I would've told you how proud I was to see you there. I feel 'The Pageant' has finally taken another step in the right direction.
