Paging my friends who are talented seamstresses

I need some dresses made, and it doesn't look like my usual seamstress/personal designer will have time.

::sobs quietly at that::

I have been told the style of dress I want is pretty damn simple, and that if I had the time, I'd be able to make them myself. Which is probably true, but making dresses with princess seams always goes horribly awry when I try it myself, and my goodness, do I not have the time right now.^*

So! I'm hoping that one of you talented munchkins will be able to help me. If you go to this LJ gallery of mine, there are two pictures of my One True Dress there. I'd love to get three or four of them made, in various (black) fabrics. If any of you think you might be able to make them, leave a comment and we'll start talking about prices, fabrics, measurements, and all those details.

Of course, if any of you reading this knows where I can buy off-the-rack versions of my One True Dress, OMG tell me now now now!



^*Maybe, after my work deadlines have settled down, I may try my hand at making a dress by myself. But Not Right Now.

I live too far away I think for offering my services to be practical, but I'm out here if you need me.

One day, when I next get to the States, I'd happily show you how you do princess seams. They are something I'd really good at doing, and funnily, now every time i make them I think of you...

...hmmm...when this wedding and show nonsense are over, I'll try to write you a tutorial on how to do them...

Oh, and since you're a fellow thrifting-fiend: if you see a dress like my One True Dress at any of the charity or thrift shops you scavenge through, I wear a US size 14. :)
