I slept really well Sunday and Monday nights. Woke up Tuesday feeling really really tired, but that was nothing compared to The Husband who felt really really unwell. Unwell enough that I begged someone to drive me home from work at 3:30 so I could take care of him. By 8pm, I was freaked out enough by all of this (extreme weakness, headache, light-sensitivity, muscle pain, stomach pain) that I said "I don't CARE if I'm over-reacting. You're going to the hospital RIGHT NOW."
Our friends Eric & Thea very kindly drove us to the hospital and waited for us to be done. 3 hours later, we get the diagnosis that it's a virus, and he should make sure to stay hydrated, take slightly more ibuprophen than he had been, and to call the family doctor if he gets worse.
Yes, I was over-reacting. But I'm still glad I made him go to the ER, because the peace of mind was worth it.
He feels better today, but is still kind of shaky. I slept fine last night, but am still really really tired. Surprise surprise, I'm not going to Grind this week. I'll either be working late or taking care of The Husband.
Gaaah. Want nap. Want time where neither of us are on a deadline or sick. Winning the lotto would be nice too.
