I slept really well Sunday and Monday nights. Woke up Tuesday feeling really really tired, but that was nothing compared to The Husband who felt really really unwell. Unwell enough that I begged someone to drive me home from work at 3:30 so I could take care of him. By 8pm, I was freaked out enough by all of this (extreme weakness, headache, light-sensitivity, muscle pain, stomach pain) that I said "I don't CARE if I'm over-reacting. You're going to the hospital RIGHT NOW."

Our friends Eric & Thea very kindly drove us to the hospital and waited for us to be done. 3 hours later, we get the diagnosis that it's a virus, and he should make sure to stay hydrated, take slightly more ibuprophen than he had been, and to call the family doctor if he gets worse.

Yes, I was over-reacting. But I'm still glad I made him go to the ER, because the peace of mind was worth it.

He feels better today, but is still kind of shaky. I slept fine last night, but am still really really tired. Surprise surprise, I'm not going to Grind this week. I'll either be working late or taking care of The Husband.

Gaaah. Want nap. Want time where neither of us are on a deadline or sick. Winning the lotto would be nice too.

I hear you on the lotto thing. It's almost time to scooter on down and get tickets.

I was wondering why you weren't at [livejournal.com profile] balzacq's house swarming. Now I know.

give The Husband my well wishes. And don't run yourself down so hard taking care of him. Make sure you take care of yourself too. (At least until he is well enough to baby you!)

Oh no! Poor Peev, and poor you.

I am so sorry to hear that P. is sick. I'm sure you must have felt pretty scared--that's a lot of symptoms. Let him know that we're 99% sending him "get better" wishes and 1% growling at him to get the damn insurance! What if it had been something more than a virus?

The Toe and I will not be going to Grind either, so we'll just have to make plans for next week.

Like everyone else says, take care of yourself too, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

good going

Hey -- when you get symptoms like that, I start remembering that people have actually died of flu, right? You did the right thing!

poor Peev!

I hope your boy is feeling better. Try to get him to eat some veggies or at least take his vities so he can get his Constitution score over 6...
