How to cosplay Cupcake Goth:
If any of you do this, please oh please send me photos!
Basic:
- A full skirt, either knee or ankle length, in black, black & white stripes, or black and pink stripes.
- A petticoat the appropriate length for your skirt.
- A high-collared blouse that matches one of the colors of your skirt.
- Black tights (or stripy tights if the skirt is black).
- Black granny boots with not-too-high of a heel.
- A black frock coat.
- A black top hat.
- Some sort of spooky pin or choker (bat, skull cameo, bird skull ...) to wear over the collar of the blouse.
- Ankh pendant on a long ribbon.
- Cat eye liner done in black liquid liner.
- Dark burgundy lipstick. (Wet n' Wild "Cherry Crush" is one of my usual colors.)
Advanced:
- Long black hair with pointy bangs and pale pink streaks at the temples.
- Big silver rings on every finger.
- Wire-framed glasses. (If you manage to find a pair of diamond-shaped wire frames, TELL ME!)
- Fangs.
Fun Accessories!
- A cupcake.
- A cup of tea or a double americano with caramel sauce.
- A copy of Dracula.
- A fuzzy toy bunny with fangs.
- An MP3 player full of The Damned, My Chemical Romance, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Faith and the Muse, Jill Tracy, and Fall Out Boy. And more My Chemical Romance.
Super-Advanced Fun Accessories!
- A tall bald man with a strawberry blond goatee and glasses, in a black suit, a fond yet slightly grumpy expression, and a British accent. (The RealHusband!)
- A short bald man with a gray and brown goatee and glasses, in a velvet frock coat and ruffly shirt, with an expression of "my eyes are about to roll right out of my head". (The StuntHusband!)
(The RealHusband and the StuntHusband are going to THUMP me for referring to them as accessories.)
