Your ridiculously cute kitten photo of the day:

See? The Stroppy One DOES smile!

(You guys, Vlad makes him so, so happy. So do the other kitties, but Vlad is working very hard on being a good successor to Tzepesh, which is wonderful.)

Trinian, Queen of Fuzzwumpia and Grumpistan, flipped out at Ruthven last night. Full-on yowling, hissing, flailing, the works. So, we isolated her in the kitty room overnight, with her beloved (and very potent) catnip sausage, hoping the combination of alone-time and getting stoned out of her tiny skull would be good. Today she's not as grumpy about the existence of other kitties. She still hisses and growls a bit, but she also chirps and comes running up to me or the Stroppy One for pets and head skritches, which she wasn't doing at all yesterday. So, progress?

Because he deserves his very own entry: The Stroppy One has been incredibly supportive through this nonsense. In fact, when I mentioned that maybe I should look up the side effects and see if there were any mental/emotional ones, he was very adamant about YES DO THAT NOW. THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR MY GOTHY GIRL.

And to make me feel better, last night he took me out for fancy vegetarian food. (Carmelita's in Greenwood, which is one of my favorite restaurants.) He has also called in one of my emotional support network to come stay with us for the next few days, while I finish prepping for Mourning Market.

I am very lucky to have him, and I wanted to say that publicly. I love you, Pete!
No, I'M not sickly, thank goodness. But the Stroppy One is feeling poorly indeed, and I can only hope that he has a mild version of the Plague that I had a few weeks ago. I am working at home so I can look after him.

A question for the other doll people: Does anyone know if any of the clothes for Ellowyne Wilde dolls will fit Evangeline? I think this striped lace top and ruffly skirt (clicky-link to photo!) would be great for Lucretia Evangeline, but I know that she is rather more, erm, buxom, than the Elloyne dolls.
