See? The Stroppy One DOES smile!

(You guys, Vlad makes him so, so happy. So do the other kitties, but Vlad is working very hard on being a good successor to Tzepesh, which is wonderful.)

Trinian, Queen of Fuzzwumpia and Grumpistan, flipped out at Ruthven last night. Full-on yowling, hissing, flailing, the works. So, we isolated her in the kitty room overnight, with her beloved (and very potent) catnip sausage, hoping the combination of alone-time and getting stoned out of her tiny skull would be good. Today she's not as grumpy about the existence of other kitties. She still hisses and growls a bit, but she also chirps and comes running up to me or the Stroppy One for pets and head skritches, which she wasn't doing at all yesterday. So, progress?

::goes back to staring at the cute photo of my husband and a kitten::

As in, with a beard? Then you are thinking of photos of my fabulous StuntHusband, skarrin. Who is NOT the Stroppy One. :) The StuntHusband is my best friend from college, and while I would hesitate to apply the descriptor of "Sassy Gay Friend" to him, it is kind of accurate.

I love how Vlad's paw rests on his arm. I realize it's probably for balance, but combined with the expression on Vlad's face, it looks like he's saying "MY human. Yes. Mine." So cute.

I don't know much (anything) about cats, but why would Trinian take off after Ruthven, a cat she's known and tolerated for quite some time now? Is it just because the kittens have shaken up the general order? When we brought Gaby home, Fiona, who had been content for years being VP to Kaylee's President, suddenly went power-mad and tried to stage a coup. We had to separate her and Kaylee. Are cats the same way?
