By about 10:30, I had nodded off over the computer a couple of times, and the Stroppy One realized he needed more sleep if he was going to be safe to drive to run some errands later. So, nappage happened, but only for two hours, and I no longer have the going-to-hallucinate-any-time-now sensation, so that's a bonus.

What I do have at the moment is a small(ish) fluffy white and brown cat sprawled across my arms. Apparently Trinian Queen of Fuzzwumpia has decided that now is the time for me to support her entire weight across my forearms. This makes typing interesting.

In shallow fashion coveting news, I have been lucky enough to see some preview photos of Lip Service's "Lolita Candy" spring 2010 line. I am DOOMED. Remember the first time I mentioned this line, and said that the colorways it was going to be offered in were black-on-black and black/pink? The black/pink colorway is black and pink striped. As in, my holy grail of fabric pattern. And in items that would fit in seamlessly with my existing wardrobe, such as knee-length full skirts with ruffles, ruffled blouses, a waist cincher (clicky-link to line drawings of the items!) ... yep, doomed.

---

I wonder if I have enough powers of concentration to go lay out pattern pieces and then put the fabric in a dye bath? This could be exciting.

To describe my sleep last night as "defective" doesn't even come close to being accurate.

(Note to self: remember to call about the sleep study your doc wants you to do. Who knows, it may help.)

I feel like I've been dug up from the grave and shoddily re-animated by an untalented wanna-be necromancer. Hello remote connection to CorpNet, I love you. Because being at the office would be a BAD idea right now.

Dear Insomnia Fairy,

If I catch you, I'm mounting you in a lovely box, with a lot of shiny pins jammed into you. Lots and lots of shiny pins. And glue.
