Do any of you out there in the LJ hivemind have recommendations for an easy-to-use, reputable Taobao shopping service? There are two different Taobao shops I would like to (eventually) purchase things from, but I'm not sure what shopping service to go with. Who do you like, and why?

(Yes, I have read a bunch of the Taobao reviews on [livejournal.com profile] egl. They don't really make things any clearer.)

Next, I need to find out if R-Series and Infanta offer custom sizing on the items I'm sighing over.

In other news: holy bats, how did I not know about this thing?

That, my darlings, is a sterling silver and carnelian replica of the Dracula crest ring that Bela Lugosi wore. The one that Forest J. Ackerman owned. A gorgeous, gorgeous replica. Guess what just fluttered to the top of my birthday wish list? Oh my yes. I'd have to get it resized to fit one of my fingers, and that's fine. DRACULA CREST RING.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my post yesterday. All of those comments were EXACTLY the sort of thing I needed to make me feel better. Look at you people, winning at NanoWrimo, posting shiny things, posting pictures of puppies and kitties and bats! And ... smiling sharks, but that made me giggle, too.

Today is MUCH better, thank goodness. Even if it is freezing cold, and I keep hearing rumors of possible snow in the next week or so. (No. I do not want snow, thanks. The Snowpocalypse last year was QUITE ENOUGH, thanks.) I am wearing a thermal silk shirt under my stripy blouse, and leggings over my tights. (Well, the leggings have leg bones printed on them, so that is part of the reason I'm wearing them. But also for warmth!) And black fingerless gloves that my Mommy knitted for me. (Hi Mom! Post a comment or something!)

Have I mentioned my weakness for Betsey Johnson accessories? Not her animal-print stuff, that's too over-the-top even for me. But thanks to discount stores such as Ross and T.J. Maxx, I have a collection of her hosiery (pink and black stripe, whee! Pink skulls!). Alas, I suspect that this necklace that I'm coveting (clicky-link to eBay!) will not be turning up at a discount store any time soon. But it's sparkly, vaguely Victorian, and combines pink, black, and skulls. It's like she made it just for me!

Here, have a Shallow Fashion Details photo. You might notice something different about me. ;)
