The tattoos I want to get this year:
- Faces from the Haunted Mansion wallpaper. The small design will go above the keys for Mom, the larger design directly below. I'm hoping to get that done sometime in the next two months.
- Covering the woman's face in ivy that I have above my left breast. I had a dream the other night about what's supposed to go there*: a rose, in black and dark red, with a tiny jack o' lantern in the heart of the rose. With a matching version mirrored above my right breast, because symmetry! Depending on how the year goes, that may be my birthday present to myself. I don't hate the woman's face in ivy tattoo, but I am kinda "meh" about it, and want to have something with more personal symbolism to cover it.**
I still want to get a jack o' lantern on the inside of my right forearm, and I want to start the blackberry vines that will eventually cover my arms, twining around the existing tattoos. I just don't know if those things will happen this year.
*A ... number of my tattoos have come to me in dreams. The Addams Family motto and the wings across my back, most notably, and I've had recurring dreams of getting the blackberry vines done. So when my sleeping brain presents me with tattoo imagery, I pay attention.
**It's the second tattoo I ever got, and it was kind of a whim. I'd found the image in a book of Victorian-esque clip art, then found it on a rubber stamp. About two weeks after the Final Disastrous Break-Up, I walked into a local tattoo shop and got it done. No planning, no thinking about it, just "The hell with all of this, I want a tattoo". I've never regretted it, but I think it's time for something different.

Jerm would probably be better for the forearm jack o' lantern, but he's harder to track down now since he's off building an art enclave / tattoo studio / thingy, but if need be, and given a few weeks, I could find him.
