I need to do things to put myself in the holiday spirit, and baking is one of them. OOoh, maybe I'll even make marshmallows again.

Alas, we are looking at our third year without a Christmas tree, because Vlad and Erzabet are ENORMOUS and still full of kittenish mischief and energy. One of Vlad's current favorite games is a flying leap attack against one of the kitchen chairs. Which then falls over with a thundering clatter, Erzabet runs across the room because she's startled, and then Vlad chases her. Maybe next year we can have a tree again.

I am hoping that tonight's prediction of ZOMG SNOW!!!1! means that my sinuses will stop trying to kill me. I'm on day 4 or 5 of a sinus headache (I've lost track), and I'm at the point of thinking that either trepanation or shooting steam directly into my head might be the only ways to get rid of the pain.

Job hunting is job hunting. I've got some leads, but I also know all HR departments move slower than usual during the holiday season.

I'm vending at Mourning Market this coming Sunday (the 15th)! Bags of Mystery, Elder Goth Surprise Bags, and maybe some other interesting things, depending on how a couple of projects work out. And Jeff (my big brother) will also be at my table, doing tarot card readings. If you're in Seattle on Sunday, please come to El Corazon and say hi!

I dont even have a clue where my christmas ornaments might be. I figure I will think about that later. My life continues to be about "we don't do new business until next quarter".

Hsve you ever tried acupuncture for you headaches? I had acupuncture and went 10 solid days without a headache. While I have had headaches since, they have been fewer and easier to manage.

Darn it, I have a maintenance window, otherwise I'd totally be up for minioning for you on Sunday.

Could even have theoretically brought fresh garlic tater tots.

I'm on the same page with the Christmas tree. I haven't been able to have a Christmas tree since 2011, due to lack of sufficient funds.

Unfortunately, where I live, it barely even snows, though it does get fricken cold with arctic winds and all.

But I hope everything goes well :)

We do a tree with only lights and a star, many years. Our youngest cat is now old enough that we're trying a few non-breakable ornaments, though I suspect I'll be finding them under furniture for months.

Ogre's had a killer sinus headache, too. You are not alone. Maybe we'll swing by El Corazon on Sunday.

speak to me of examples of what might be contained in an 'elder goth surprise bag', as I am one of said elder goths, and might wish to order one, should you wish to do any by post.
