• Concrete speckled with wet leaves is not a good surface for walking across with pointy-toe, kitten-heeled shoes

  • Metal coffin purses, when they go flying across concrete, stay securely latched and protect your belongings

  • Minions can be really bossy about making you walk around to make sure nothing is sprained

  • Because of my spectacular slip and fall, I may have fixed the chronic pain/wackiness with my shoulder. It certainly feels that way

I'm okay. Nothing broken or sprained, no bruises that I can find. I'm going to be very, very amused if this did indeed fix my shoulder.

Huh. If your shoulder is fixed that would be one wacky little victory.

Remember how I commented the other day that it looked like my right hip was noticeably higher than my left? I just looked in the full-length mirror in the bathroom, and it looks like that isn't the case anymore. Who knows, I may be imagining it, but I don't think so.

Owchie.
Glad you're okay...and that the shoulder wackiness is gone. Amazing how some things work out...

off topic? or NOT!

Earlier today, I imagined a character with an outfit and a name you should know about. I don't know where this came from, but if she'd been any realer she would have been a hallucination. She was a combination of Emma Peel and Angelina Jolie, dressed in matte spandex Jilliwear. Just like what you wear, but completely sproingy. And her name was Victoria Harrowell. Hee.

Um...does it make me a bad person that I laughed behind my hand while reading your post? (grinning @ the coffin purse line, chuckling when you seemed to be ok & even perhaps 'fixed')

I've fallen/tripped spectacularly often enough that I try to bounce up, and ALWAYS give an Olympic finish--arms up, archy body this way, and turn, and again--I've gotten hooted/whistled/howled at more than once...I think a sense of humour must be sexaaay...*g*

I stubbed a bare next-to-pinky toe really badly one time. I thought I'd broken it. It never really got any better, either. Shoes were problematic, walking any distance a nonstarter. Months later, it still hurt (and no, I didn't go to the orthodoc for a toe. But I stubbed it again on precisely the same chair leg as the first time. And after things stopped whiting out and I could draw breath to yell, I realized it really didn't hurt. Sore from being bashed, yeah. But the achey, owie, can't get my shoe on for the hurting was gone.

So yeah, it wouldn't surprise me that you "fixed" your shoulder with your fall. I'm glad you're okay. And next time? Try a chiropractor, love. Corrective falling can't be counted on all the time.

*snerk* it amuses me that you can fall and *fix* things instead of breaking them. :) It's like *magic*.

Okay, if you wish to be closer to the gorund, please just sit or lie on it carefully from now on.

Glad to hear you're okay, sad to hear you took a fall. Damned leaves! Damned water! Damned sidewalk!

There,
Chris
