Dear [livejournal.com profile] jola, [livejournal.com profile] weaselmom, the StroppyOne, and all the rest of you who have been exclaiming how well burgundy and red suit me:

Are you people using mind-control rays or something? Because I am OVERCOME with cravings to add more of those colors to my wardrobe. ALL THE BURGUNDY VELVET. IT WILL MATCH MY LIPSTICK. I have burgundy cotton velveteen that has been sitting in the fabric stash for years, and I think it is going to become a skirt in the next week or so, deadlines permitting.

But the pink streaks are staying in my hair, yes.

(Dear Self, it is the time of year to start checking Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshall's to see what fancy fancy burgundy velvet or taffeta tree skirts are out, then turn them into Jilli skirts.)

I think that the season has a lot to do with it as well. You always bring more red in during the fall and early winter.

You know the embossed velvet coat design I brought out there with me last time? That same embossed velvet comes in a deep burgundy red.

It shouldn't be too bad actually :) I've been planning on ordering in a new batch of it in the coming week (put it off this week since so many businesses are still recuperating from the East coast storm) ~ once I re-confirm the cost so I can figure out the final price, I'll be sure to let you know!

If I make one for me too, does this mean you, Jillian & I can officially be the modern day version of the Three Witches from MacBeth?

I think i have a fenny-snake around here somewhere ...

YES. OMG, YES. I support this plan SO MUCH. ::flails::

is it crazy i'm craving the black version??? Jilli must have stolen my brain and replaced it with Folgers Crystals!!

From: [identity profile] kambriel.livejournal.com

Reversible black velvet with burgundy velvet lining for Chicago Winters! I guess that might be a bit grabby for clothes underneath unless you wear nothing but satin, but it was worth a thought ;)

First order for the Three Witches: conjure a spell to transform velvet from black to burgundy and back at will. I'll get the Root of Hemlock...

(By the way, "Chicago Winters"? Excellent drag queen name.)

I'm thinking six witches, and somewhat damning the fact that I live in bloody Texas now, where I'd only get to wear it a few times a year, but OMG PRETTY!!!

(Please shoot me a price quote as well, for the black version . . . I might have to stagger out the payments because getting the work done on my hands is going to tap me out for this month, but I'd love to get in on the Gorgeous Coat Action!)

*much love!*

Oooooh.

Pockets? Is there any way to get it to somehow include pockets? But yes, I think that in dark burgundy embossed velvet has just jumped to the top of my "future clothing purchase" list. :)

From: [identity profile] kambriel.livejournal.com

Yes to pockets!

Now I'm envisioning a photoshoot with you in the burgundy version... oh darn, that would mean I'd have to visit & make merry mischief with you again, wouldn't it? ;)

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Oh noes, not that! Mischief and photo shoots and and and YES, COME VISIT. For one thing, you have to see how enormous the kittens have become!

Ooooh. I had forgotten that you offered the Eleanor jacket without the shoulder frills! Well now, I think I know what I may be buying with the quarterly bonus I'm (almost certainly) getting from work.

(Deep burgundy embossed velvet? Eeeeeee.)

You hadn't forgotten, I've just been so wrapped up in other things that they hadn't made it to the site yet :)

This in the burgundy version on you though? Would be incredible! And perhaps around the collar I could do a pointy black lace instead...

it's dangerous to go alone ... take this hat (http://www.etsy.com/listing/34492817/fleet-street-annie-handblocked-velour)

Heads up. Fred Meyer has all Halloween costume stuff at 75% off. Home decor is 50% off. No tights left at the one I went to today.

Oh, no you don't. THE BURGUNDY IS MINE! ALL MINE!

Rats, you have uncovered my diabolical plot and I must act swiftly.

*Note to self: The Goth Mistress must not remember the brainwashing.... must not remember her brainwashing at all... Swiffering must commence now!*
