Now I'm having flashbacks to my prom -- gold high-low mini-skirted strapless dress, spiked hair, rhinestones. '80s eye-bleeding hell. \m/

Claire's is spectacular lately, isn't it? I went in right before I left for England and suddenly remembered why I used to haunt that place during my high school years. I got a couple of adorable pairs of stripey fingerless gloves with black lace and lacing details, flowery and feathery hair clips, and I don't remember what else. AND I got to giggle at twelve-year-olds asserting that Justin Bieber (sp?) was "hot"! Which, yes, makes me feel old. But the stripey gloves were absolutely worth it!

It's true. I've found some really nifty stuff in there at times!

1982 for me, before Goth, so a lime green safari suit and mirror shades. No wonder I started wearing black not long after.

Jill-1988 was adorable, have you considered releasing a fashion doll?

O.K., how cute are you in that prom photo???? And why did we not know eachother, so we could have hung out together that night?

Thank you so much for the link too! Though right now, I'd say I might actually have even more One of a Kind stuff up on the Etsy page (http://www.etsy.com/shop/kambriel)... and we've been really good about running ahead of schedule with orders, so last minute things are quite possibly still o.k. :)

Speaking of thrift stores, a few weeks ago I went thrifting. Lo and behold I found a brand new Lip Service dress there for only $10.00! I was beyond happy with my stroke of luck! I hope all the gothlings going to the prom will have as good of luck as I did thrifting. :)

Not to be critical - but I didn't recognize any of the links as being a place where larger-sized goths might shop for prom items. Yes - some of the department stores will have some basic black stuff that will works but it wouldn't hurt to include a link that caters to larger sizes (like Zaftique - for the not too horrendously expensive)...

My prom dress is actually white *shockandhorror* because i'm a rebel goth! After prom though i plan to dye it a lovely shade a black.
