I wish that the Back-2-MAC program let you trade empty packaging for eyeliner. Because I certainly don't need any more lipstick from MAC, but my goodness, do I need another tube of Liquidlast Point Black. It's my One True Liquid Liner, because it lasts through EVERYTHING. Events? No problem. Sudden weather changes? Sure. Allergy attacks? Yep. Crying, crying, and more crying? Oh thank goodness, YES. Sure, it takes longer than other liquid liners to dry, but I find using a hairdryer set on "low" to speed it up strangely soothing. (It helps with my sinus migraines, okay? It's not entirely because I'm a crazy person.)

While I'm thinking about shallow makeup things, it would also be nice if MAC started making more colors of Liquidlast again. In addition to Point Black, I have Powerplum (dark burgundy) and Visionaire (pearlized candy pink), and I love them.

In other news, I am having a day where I feel like I've been beaten with a pillowcase full of rocks. I'm not sure if this is just a flare-up of my ongoing health issues (CFS and Lyme Disease, with a side of Cat Scratch Fever, yes really), or if I'm coming down with something. Either way, I'm not thrilled with this.

What a lovely mental picture!

Thanks for the review! My eyelids get oily AND I have allergies that make me tear up horridly. My liquid liner is a hot mess pretty quickly. Now I know I should invest in this stuff!

Oh trust me - I have the SWEAT GLANDS OF DOOM! (TM) on top of everything else and that stuff doesn't come off. I use it most often for dancing. I find the cream liner is easier for me to put on (I don't wear make-up all that often) and is nearly as good. However when I'm dancing, I use the liquid liner. The first time I used it I had to go to the Mac place at Nordstrom and say "You *do* sell something to take this off don't you?" Never been an issue before. I even sweat off spirit gum...

I have some MAC eyeliner that's in a tiny little tub that I apply with an really narrow stiff brush. Soooo much easier for me than liquid liner. It's black with tiny bits of glitter in it.

In any case, I biked six miles in a constant drizzle the other day. I got to my destination and it hadn't budged. At all. WIN.

I've this stuff for a couple of years though...and I think it's starting to dry out. Nooooo! My current makeup budget is about, um, zero. And I didn't even come close to using it up, either.

ah, yes, MAC gel liner, and it sounds like you've got the 'Blitz & Glitz' shade, which I also have, and it is awesome.

Adding to the "I wish MAC would re-release" list: Moth brown eyeshadow! It was the perfect color to go with the various pink shadows I adore.

My CFS has been kicking my butt as well. After all these years, one would think I would have learned to 'live with it'. Not so, it just keeps confounding me at every turn. My job isn't helping me at all, either. Desperately needing time off and the spring show goes up next week (The Awesome 80's Prom) and all the 'end of the school year' festivities. If I can crawl across the finish line it will be a miracle.

At least the schools here will be out the Friday before Memorial Day. Don't know that I could make it farther than that. Planning to spend my summer sleeping, looking at amazing gothy things online, and reading frivolous vampire fiction.

CFS will do that sugar. just so you know.

Perhaps take the replacement lipsticks and sell them in order to pay for the eyeliner?

"Lyme Disease, with a side of Cat Scratch Fever" Have you considered applying for tourism funding as a hotel for parasitic lifeforms?

Tragic news...the last time I picked up the beloved Liquidlast liner at the MAC store I was told they are "phasing out Liquidlast" in favor of the new liquid liner with that strange stiff stick type applicator. I am holding my breath that she was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I bought the last three tubes they had in stock.

The quest for the perfect eyeliner is back on evidently.

Hmmm. The makeup munchkin at the MAC store I go to told me that they were discontinuing all of the LiquidLast EXCEPT the black.

The folks at Makeup Alley swear that Miliani's Ultimate Liner is a perfect duplicate of LiquidLast. Have I found a store that stocks this product yet? No. I'm about ready to order it from Walgreens.com.

Let us hope that is true...black is all I really need, though I did like some of the other colors.

I will have to scout around and try out the Milani liner. Even if it's only for alternatives to black.
