Last night's Vampire Masquerade Ball was wonderful. Here, have some quick phone photos that were taken last night.

The ever-dashing Libby Bulloff and the StuntHusband!

A close-up of me, taken by the StuntHusband.

A slightly blurry, but full-length shot of my outfit.

Some outfit notes: The hat is covered in pieces of lace from a parasol that was over a century old. The skirt is from a thrift store wedding dress. The jacket is from some mainstream fashion company in the UK. The pearls are from my maternal grandmother, the watch necklace from my paternal grandmother.

To get my hair to do that, I had to sleep in rag curls, do some backcombing, and use a hairspray that is named Backcomb In A Bottle. No, I am not making that up. My hair still looks like that right now. I'm kind of impressed.

I'm already looking forward to next year's event. And yes, I'm also already trying to think of what my outfit will be.

It's a real product, from the 'BigSexyHair' line. I have a bottle of it, too, and yes, it works. It's also a pain in the ass to wash out. :)

I may have found a new favorite hairspray. This stuff is better than AquaNet.

Goodness! I didn't think they'd every come up with an adequate replacement for AquaNet.

Love how the hat turned out and the cut of that jacket is fabulous. Really like the hair styling too. Hopefully life will settle down next March as I'd like to go too.

Would you hate me if I tell you that my hair does that naturally?

Ooh, ivory!

I have to say, as an ElderGoth, I kind of think that I now have you on a wholly different level because of the ivory. It sounds like such a simple thing but at the same time, so rare that to have done it. . .wow!

Amazingly flattering if I may say so.

Pretty! All of you! The skirt looks like it drapes nicely. I love the look on StuntHusband's face . . . what a smirk!

(also, I though of you when I found a really great black velvet blazer with tiny pin stripes . . . and it has frilly tulle on the cuffs collar and down the front, it is also fitter with a pleated flair on the back . . yaaay! I thought of you because I thought it looked like something you would have in your wardrobe.)
