The past couple of days have just been ... crap, really. On a global scale and on a personal scale. So, in an effort to make myself feel better, a list of Good Things that I've had happen recently:

- Went to the aquarium on Sunday with the ever-delightful Princess Tickybox. I spent a long time watching the otters.

- Spent part of Monday doing dayjob work over at [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts house, which was a lovely change.

- Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts gave me pep talks about several things, and is going to transform one of the various blank books I have around here into the sort of blank book I'm coveting for my next project (that I'm not starting yet, but is in my brain.)

- My wonderful chiropractor made my neck and back make horrible noises yesterday, and now I'm not gritting my teeth against pain.

- [livejournal.com profile] truejavachik sent me a lovely care package yesterday, with vampire stickers and a book on absinthe.

- I am going to the Emilie Autumn show on Friday! With the ever-charming [livejournal.com profile] marc17.

Don't get me wrong, I am still full of cranky and stress, but focusing on these good things does kind of help. Tell me more good things!

It was and I did. I stepped out to get things for making dinner tonight and the air was crisp but there wasn't enough overcast to worry about the possibility of rain; so I wore SANDALS!

And there was ice cream after dinner, so yes, today was lovely!

Yes! I knew there was something I had left off the list! Must go edit it.

My kitties usually like to come be in whatever room I am in. Sometimes this is inconvenient, like when I'm cooking, but it's nice to be loved.

I'm a fan of focusing on the good during times of stress.

More good: you have a huge net of support and affection, both among friends and folks you know, and among folks you've never met but whose lives you've touched.

My absinthe came in the mail today! And Paul didn't have to go under the house to retrieve the bottle brush from our sink!

You have chocolate tea. :)
(And I have a gorgeous and very floofy hat!)

I have scheduled someone to fix our dryer. Clothes fresh out of the dryer, especially socks and sweatshirts are one of life's great gifts. Soon I too will have these things again :)

I had two weeks like that. My SO was hit by a car, again. Children were swapping diseases and I made three seperate trips to the ER with half of the family, to which one of the nurses asked jokingly if I would like them to set up a room just in case I woild be next... due to exhaustion. I also had midterms that week.

Some weeks are so terrible, I am hoping this one pans out better. I hope yours takes a turn for the better.

Yay for Emilie Autumn! I'm sure it will be brilliant!

I have a new car, new schedule, and will be able to see more of you.

You have a wonderful family, beautiful kitties, and you're fabulous and gorgeous.

Not a full list, but I'm on break.

Toddler hugs. Nothing beats the way they throw their whole body into it. Add in a few "I love you!"s belted out a top volume along with a few kisses and you have sheer bliss. It can beat even the worst days.

Hmm, things haven't really been too great here either, but I did find a Monster High Ghoulia doll today at walmart of all places! I was really shocked to see her! I'm so glad to not have to pay the ebay prices now!
I hope things get better for you.

Squish is snuggling with a box. No, not *in* a box--*with* a box.

More good things:

Third anniversary with Awesome Boyfriend, and have appointed myself one of the curators of his & his wife's impending child's library.

My Rockerboy is soon to be playing some shows with his current band, a horror-rock outfit called Full Story At Midnight, and while I'm too far away to attend, he's promised me a soundboard bootleg!

BIG tax refund supposed to arrive March 4. I can pay down some debt to my ever-patient housemate, get some dental work done that isn't covered by insurance, and pay the deductible on my car insurance for a fenderbender thing I was in. I might even be able to upgrade my desktop OS!

I have an iPod Touch and it's such a shiny, shiny gadget!

And I think I might have the right dose of my medication, finally. I was productive today without feeling completely CLEAN ALL THE THINGS! which has a tendency to go out of control.

My baby's nursery is going to be bat-themed. Cute, smiling, jolly bats.

Rose-flavored Starlight cake with chocolate chips and sky-blue frosting. :)

A wonderful thing to add to the list!

My medication is getting closer and closer to being in perfect balance. This means I will soon be able to be happy on a normally regular basis for the first time in my life. That, plus my ridiculously awesome therapist, will enable me to be a Real Actual Human And Stuff. It's awesome.
